Ludi, I forgive you! I thought I called someone else a fool...
For myself, I define illness as things which are harmful and unhelpful, and magick and spirituality as things which are helpful and beneficial. This is my own way of looking at things, not meant to be a statement about "reality."
I would dissagree, mental we all are, what is sane, co's I REALLY feel this world is mental, I find it hard, in my head I feel a build up of tention yes but that is not mental out of my control because I made weird beliefs, most mentals do have beliefs...

Was this due to watching crap like "captain Planet and the Planeteers"? My sister had this mentality to for awhile and actually attacked a couple of people because she though they were killing "mother earth". She became a lot healthier when she stopped watching it.

no i never watched that show when i was mental i just watched news and the occasinal history channel shows but that was it. i was like that for a while though as i always devised ways on how to kill people by either cutting their heads of and putting them on a stake for all to see and what ever else i could think of. it because of this that i became a pretty deep thinker and a serious person.

I unconsciously had beliefs, all my life I have be drawn to white, from a young age onwards I hated logos and loved to wear all white, over time this has become a fashion for some in summer, I only have white cloths always! I started doing magick without knowing, something that laterly is starting to show is some ability where I seem to visualize symbolic events in my coming days.

what is this ability?

one night, I got my toy dog out then called it digbyy, well the next day a old friend came to me, told me he just got a dog called digbyy.

(did he send me a telepathic message that inspired me to do the samething or did I sense the future)

I always have desires, usually desires for answers, I noticed patterns, belief for me was reality, If I thought I could do something I could always, if people challenge me, then my mind would be tense till I won, I'm able to see through matters

One thing I notice with alot of people who have mental illness or is on the verge of mental illness (BTW I say mental illness due to a lack of a better word. Social Phobia/Anxiety I tend to label under mental illness as well etc.) is that they have illregular breathing patterns. If you have illregular breathing pattern I strongly suggest you learn to even out your breathing . Take a deep breath bring the breath all teh way down to your stomach area hold it for a second and then exhale. Relax and then repeat the cycle over again. (There is a connection between the mind, emotions and the way one breathes.)
I would recommend taking Yoga to remedy certain mental conditions. The postures in Yoga can correct one's breathing pattern and also cure many mental illneses. I would stay away with other forms of Yoga like Kundalini Yoga until latter on.

wiseone, your sig I want to pock at!
time goes by too fast that today can be years from now.
I would agree with you in away, in the old days we would do less, and anything big that we did do would stand out as a memory.

these days we disrespect things and that all things now are mind blowing! yes! we spend to much time in the now, not focusing on are past memorys, and focusing on a future desires.

so learn to be amazed by even stupid me:)
and start dreaming and desiring

all you need is the memory to notice!

Babyalien I woul leave the kundalini stuff out for now. Its known to cause more problems sometimes.
Yes. You will really learn to love Yoga. Once you do it a few times you get hooked. Its fun and healthy for you too.
I would suggest you stick with mastering the Yoga postures "Asanas" (as they are called). It will also improve your psychic energy circulation. Most Yoga instructors would start you up with Asanas (Yoga postures) to begin with. Its a good start. Plus you can wear white when practicing. Its kool! You might find a cheap place or a free place to learn yoga or tell the instructor your health concerns and they would most likely lower the price and give it to you cheap (or for free in some cases).
Yoga is terrific. Its not only an occult practice you can do relatively safely. You can also learn to really relax and meet peole who are nice to you. Which is an extra bonus.

Oh yes please do! You will get addicted to it!
The Asanas (yoga postures) will help you regulate your breathing and also the psychic energies of your body. Some people I know who were not mentally well got better because of yoga. Now their breathing is regular and their mind are less clouded and more aware and at peace.

I even read some research over the internet about yoga curing people with all kinds of illness (both mental and physical ones) and the success rate is pretty good. This confirms what I experience from the people I know who were mentally ill and got better. It really works.

Most (reputable) magickal Orders will require a psychiatric evaluation before admitting one into their Order. I see no reason why the standards should be lowered for an individual working alone. Magick is *not* for the psychotic or someone with serious mental difficulties (please note, I don't include depression under this category if it is controlled). Magick is built on the fundamental tenet of balance - especially psychological balance.

Having said this, my ex-girlfriend once dragged me off to a psychiatrist - she was concerned about her crazy boyfriend and his incoherent ramblings (read: Enochian invocations!). To humour her I went along with it. I was quite open with the Doctor about my practices, and, to my suprise (and the chagrin of my partner) she conceded that such practices could indeed be of benefit to an individual working within a "Jungian" paradigm. She did, however, suggest that my partner may have some unresolved issues if she felt threatened by me wanting to improve myself! LOL!

Anyway, back to the point - practicing magick in an unbalanced frame-of-mind is courting disaster - I would think that anyone threatening to kill another within earshot of "authority" is either chuckleheaded or not thinking in a clear and balanced manner.

The last devolted magick group was by a Islamic groupd that decided to burn themselves up as sacrifice to the "All Mighty God" If a dude wants to kill himself, I don't care, none of my business, but try not to waste the fire department's time and resources, not to mention the houses around you.

Well, I cannot speak for every belief, but I do think that if a person believes that everyone that they see using a cell phone is reporting on them (as an example), that is a false belief. I also doubt that the CIA or any other "THEY" is reading anyone's mind, and I doubt that aluminum foil hats would help to prevent this. I would also describe the belief that people who do not agree with one's paranoid ideas are part of a plot as false.
Now, what is the difference between a "false belief" and a "true belief"? Consensus Reality is resting on a foundation of lies agreed upon, which, by majority vote, makes them true. That is the fallacy in that "psychiatrist's bible" there. I have found nothing of worth in that book. According to it's author's, everything we do as human beings is one big disorder.
