I like Tyr.

My favorite gods and goddesses in each pantheon tend to be somewhat similar to each other, so I wouldn't want to be drafting them for a hockey team or anything.

I'm Freyja and Freyr's girl, all the way. I've always felt a strong bond with them. I like quite a few of the other's in the Aesir and Vanir, but none have come close to how I feel about the Lord and Lady.

I quite like them all, and will hold up my drink and sing to them. They don't seem to mind that I don't really like most beers, and accept my Long Beach as a suitable substitute. *grins*

Hmmm... I'm gonna go for the obscure (only because another dude saying 'Odin and Loki' etc would boring).

I really dig Ullr. After the whole Skadi going around trying here luck with everybody it was Ullr who finally got her. He is a wanderer in the wilderness, the true shaman god, the wolf on the edges of civilisation. When Odin leaves for his long journeys it is Ullr who normally usurps his throne.

I also have a thing for Ve, one of Odin's little remembered brothers. Ve not only created the universe with Odin but (in some versions of the myth) made mankind with him too. Ve is also patron of the holy spaces in which we practise magick and law. He, and his brother Vili, guard the throne of Odin when Odin goes a wandering for his wisdom, and as such it is he and Vili who look out for Ullr skulking in.

Gefjun is my favourite of the less well known deities. I find the whole story of her abusing that King's generosity and stealing a huge chunk of land inspiring in a Hakim Bey/TAZ kind of way.

In response to a the above comments about Thor serving Odin. It is my experience and belief that Thor does serve Odin, but only in so much as the primary heir of a cheiftain will. Remember Odin is the chief of the Aesir clan, the other major gods form council with him, but he is the dude in the biggest chair.

If you believe that Thor serves Odin that is up to you. If you are however getting this from Norse lore this is nonsense (maybe this depends on what your defintion of 'serve' is). Odin maybe the king of the gods but he doesn't order any of the gods to do anything and they will not do something just because Odin tells them to.

Like I said, Odin is the Chief of the Aesir, this we all know. Thor is his son and sits with in the heavenly Althing. He is subservient to Odin in his politic and heirarchical role. That is what I mean by 'serves'.

I'm not sure what kind of a king would put up with no being listened to? However that is an opinion rather than the above paragraph which is taken from the sources.

Hes not subservient to him in his political role. Thor is the patron god of law and that involved nobleman and common people. Odin may be the king of the gods but he can't force anybody to do anything they don't want. Hell Odin has been kicked out of Asagard before and Thor has stood up to him.

Fact of the matter is Odin can't order anybody about and if he does he usually gets Thor to do it. If Odin wants something done he discusses it with the other gods.

Sorry I just think you are making assumptions.

I don't want to turn this into a thread hi-jack so I'll agree to disagree with you on those points where we differ. Frankly anything beyond the written letter of the Eddas and Sagas is assumptuious anyway and to think otherwise academically dangerous.

Look to be quite honest with you im actually getting my sources from Norse Lore. Maybe I misunderstood what you are saying but I find it highly offensive. A lot of people incluidng heathens are misinformed about Thor.

I have already told you that Thor was the patron god of law and law transcended class, so I don't know where you get off implying that im making this up. Also in the gautrek sagas Thor stood up to Odin and cursed a hero who was under Odins protection. If Odin was superior to Thor in rank he could have commanded him to stop but all he could do was bless his hero every time Thor cursed him.

These dimwits are going to think we are homosexually inclined or something; which we are not. I am no where near gay; but I welcome them people into my fold when they come to me for light.

Jeff; just the other day I had a gay person come to me saying: "Grand Magister, I have heard of your great works in the Satanic Community, and that you are also the champion of Gay stuff. I am a homosexual man and was wondering what satan thinks about my love for men?"

I channeled the Master and asked Satan: "This guy is gay and wants to know what you think of being gay."

He showed me a mysterious vision brother. The Dark Lord came in side me in the night like a minute man down the rebel streets during the revolution as paul ravere. And I saw gay people burning in hell! And I said to the Lord: "Lord! What doth this mean! I do not understand your parables! Who am I, but an unworthy man, that you would fill me up with your light and show me this vision!"

And Satan said to me Jeff: "Behold Grand Magister Blackwood, ye leader of my Temples established in Muskegon County Michigan; Ye are worthy and chosen by me and that is all that matters! Go now unto the sexually deviant one and say unto him; any enemy of mine enemie is art my friend! For behold God had created Adam and Eve to lay with one another to bare him cattle children to worship him. Therefore I, Satan, yer Lord and Master say, with blasphemy unto high heavens! Defy heaven with all manners of sexual deviancy and fringe homosexually! let there be lesbiens and gay sex between men and bondage and enemas and call the transexuals to unto me for I mine house is a Temple of defyiance and deviency!"

So I told the gay guy: satan said, if your going to burn in hell any ways for being gay; might as well worship satan and start collecting brownie points; cuz its gunna be one hell of a rid when you get your gay ass down there! lol!

Now folks, I love me womenkind; but I love Satan even more; and even though its not in my nature to love other men; I have to do it for Satan; because He has commanded us. I feel guilty every time I make love to a man, but I know I'm doing it for satan. It's only gay if you enjoy it.

...No, that's called 'Being in denial'. Saying 'I dont enjoy sex' is like saying 'The sky is green'- It's just not right.

Unless you're pimping yourself out to gays then you're sleeping with them because you enjoy it. Frankly, I dont care if you're gay or not- I think you're a stupid idiot either way. Not because you're gay, but because you act like a stupid idiot. If it's just an act or joke, then please stop.

Now, back on topic for the thread, I rather like Loki, Fenrir, and Thor. I dont know very much about them though, and what I do know is all jumbled in my head so I cant even remember wether frey is the guy and freyr the chick or vice versa. So sue me.

The Grandmaster has spoken and all should heed. I don't enjoy it myself, but I have to since I live with Tom, uh, Grandmaster Blackwood in his mom's basement. I mean, in Pandemonium. I am just obliged to perform homosexual acts.

All should pay homage and respect to Grand Magister Blackwood for he is the One. The Truth. Read all about him as he denegrates pseudo Satanic organizations such as the Church of Satan and the Order of the Nine Angles. Especially the ONA's fledgling organization, the White Star Acception and their so-called progressive satanism. All nonsense, really.

Loki: because he's an asshole, but a funny one with a plan. I respect the hell out of that.

Odin: because I have to, or he'll kick my ass

Sigyn: because she's taught me when to let go of "toxic" men and when to stand by someone in their pain.

Hel:because I'm going to meet her soon enough and I'd rather be on her good side!
