hehe yes, ive read this before, stephan hoeller is awesome ! ... although i do believe the idea of a " gnostic " catechism is blasphemous ! but yes, this piece is of great help to newbies just getting introduced to gnosticism.
After reading much of this I am left with 4 questions:
1.) Christ is our savior because he departed Gnosis on us.? By departing Gnosis on us, he set the path for us to LIBERATE OURSELVES?.
2.) It mentions that everyone has a gaurdian angel, but that gaurdian angel is a Divine Twin or a Twin Angel. Could we say that it is our fullest potential? That it is ourselves and not someone else? How should I understand this concept?
3.) It mentions that Christ (an Aeon) was the Twin Angel of Jesus (an earthly man). Could Christ have easily gone into another body? Was Jesus just some 'shmoe' who lucked out or was he a Divine Twin of Christ in that he WAS Christ just in an earthly form who united with his Twin Angel? I am having trouble with this Twin Angel concept.
4.) It mentions that Christ's Twin Angel is Sophia. This is more confusion added to question #3. How does this work out?
After reading more, nevermind question 4. Sophia is different from Christ. Christ saved Sophia when she fell into Lower Chaos when searching for light. While she suffered in Lower Chaos she gave birth to the demiurge. I this the very first demiurge? Or is he the one who created our world? He couldn't of been the first; otherwise how could there be Lower Chaos for Sophia to fall in?
