I've had friends who've done it and entered alternate, subjective realities (both extremely positive and extremely negative). But I've yet to try it myself.

oh ok, yeah im pretty familiar with "robotrippin", just making sure we're on the same page. I don't know about any plateaus, but i had a "dream" that and imp or demon was stabbing my body with a shovel, then something happened that could happen in real life, but just with all psychadelic colors.

sounds interesting. an interesting thing is that it appears to facilitate telepathic abilities, some friends of mine reached a stage like this on 120mg, additionally they got some type of auric vision. to me there seems to be a different kind of mystique surrounding dxm than other entheogens.. any Dexter here who may enlighten the rest of us regarding the occult uses of dex? anyone with useful links?

I'm a total Dex Monkey. My first drug, my favorite drug.

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is interesting in that, rather than merely an intensified experience, there are four (five if you're an idiot) different levels of experience.

A 'third plateau' experience is generally reached at a dosage between 7.5 and 15 mg/kg body weight. It is the broadest and (in my opinion) most useful plateau for psychological adjustment, though I must admit I haven't Dexed since I've started Practicing.

On an interesting note: on a 480mg/100kg dose, my Average buddy has shown definite TP.

On a 2000mg/120kg dose, well into the Fourth Plateau, I had what could be considered an Abyss experience. Not a fun day.

I'll be having a Focus Group Meeting around the 25th of October. If I can manage to figure out Astral, Psi, or anything of worth, I'll let you know the sober vs. Dex difference.

This is not the first time I've heard someone bring it up either. I wonder why this drug in particular facilitates telepathy so? Out of all substances I've tested this is really the only one that seems to have this effect.

I'm not very knowledgable about the divisions of plataeus and whatnot, but I know that the very first time I tried DXM I took waaaaay too much, and I reached the 4th plateau. I lost all bodily awareness and communication with my fellow trippers (I was told I was hit very hard several times and didn't even feel it) for around 6-8 hours and experienced very strange things in the "place" I was taken to. I remember only bits and pieces but I remember communicating with otherworldly "beings". I remember being shown a bunch of moving symbols and a powerful voice said "A New Language." I was then taken down a "highway" of "threads" and was shown the "main thread" and a voice said "the threads of life" and "we are all one." Drug induced nonsense? Maybe.

Maybe not.

edit it is probably worth mentioning this was several years prior to have any interest in the occult or metaphysics. The trip was promptly sent to the back of my mind, it was not until several years later that I even began to give any thought to it's importance.

3+ plateau experiences come with a free side order of Temporary Psychosis, generally voices, entities, and OBE, but also found in perfectly mundane events like Pyromania (Representative James, 1 experience) and Homocidal Tendencies (Representative Hubert, 2 experiences).

These random issued occured with two advanced and experienced users. This WAS NOT their first rodeo.

Be very, very, careful.

Trying to keep someone from lighting the cat on fire or eviscerating you with a combat blade is difficult when you're just as high, or even more baked, than they are.

LSD works, too. I remember experiences with my friends and I saying repeatedly:

Person 1: "... And there it is again!"
Person 2:"Yeah, but what was it?"
Person 1:"I... can't... put my finger on it. Just as I'm about to, I forget what it is or something."

Basically, it was telepathic experiences. One person would be describing something and then trail off (or not be speaking at all) and the other would say, "did you feel it?" and the first person would shout back, "YES!! But, what IS it?!" A totally ridiculous experience.

Other experiences were more clear, however, but none of mine were scientifically devised. All during the course of good fun.

perhaps we could scientifically device something then. we'd need a symbol of focus that is common to the dexers and we'd need the dexers tripping simultaneously. anyone in?

what differences have you find between dexing alone as opposed to dexing with other people?

Lack of synergistic symbioticism and The Fourth Presence. When we three dex, there's always a Fourth, that we all sense and feel. Half the night is spent asking 'Who else is here?'

With two, there is amazing interflow and construction of ideas.

today i did my first 3rd plataeu dose... unfortunately i got sick from it approx. 20. min. after ingestion.... had a pretty good trip anyway, starting to like it more and more.
