Xst I can't take this anymore...don't they teach reading in schools these days???

It's understandable you would have these questions Dekameron and you should definitely explore them until you are satisfied you have found the correct answers but what you have no way to appreciate at this immediate junction is that the majority of your questions - in themselves - are NOT the right questions. You shouldn't be offended by this. Professional researchers and investigators on all levels spend the majority of their lives learning to ask the right questions and occultism is no different...it's just that the questions are so much loftier than most...

Your answers are out there...It's not at all what you've been led to believe it is...

In addition to the link provided about what Satanism is, I would check out some the links that have been posted in the "Satanic Sites" topic and just read around at what is here. It's a lot of info, but there is a lot of information here on the topic.

Honestly, the first question I would ask myself in regards to Satanism is "What is the purpose and reason I am drawn to it in the first place". It's the same question I tell everyone regardless of what path they are looking to follow.

Dekameron;
All it takes is some reading into various satanc groups to see what is going on.

Satanisim was brought into mainstream publicity in 1966 by Dr. Anton Lavey. He also wrote the Satanic Bible, and the Satanic Rituals. There had been other groups before him, but none dared to go mainstream. Satanists pride themselves on being intellegent and self-reliant.
There is no goal of satanisim beyond doing what you wish to do.
The goal of satanisim in the end is to become like a god. Those who fall along the wayside never make it.
I ve been studying satanisim for 13yrs. This is my opinion, and does not necessarily reflect that of other Satanisits on this board

Maybe someone should make a sticky in the Satanism forum pertaining to the relativity of such ideas as 'good' and 'evil.' It might save a lot of repetitive explanations to those who come asking, "why worship evil?" or "is Satan really evil?", etc.
Sooo basically satanism is a conformist paradise?
I myself mentioned the term "relativity." Satanism is pretty much about exalting the individual over all else. It is a relative religion in that each individual decides what to believe, follow, etc.

Let me take a swing at your questions.
Satanists belive in satan who is basicallly evil right ?
Some Satanists believe in Satan as an actual entity, others do not. Some simply see him as an archetype or an idea. Others see him as a force of nature. It's up to the individual to decide.

As for being evil, well, there's no such thing as "evil" in an objective sense. Evil is an idea that only exists in the minds of humans. It's our creation, nothing more. And it's relative to each individual's definition of what "good" and "evil" is. For me, good is what I like and evil is what I don't like.

Why exactly would you assume that Satan is evil?
What exactly is the main theme of satanism ? Like christians have their judgement day and apocalypse whats the "goal" of satanism?
The main theme of Satanism is freedom. The freedom to be whoever and whatever you want. The freedom to be human and enjoy the fleshly, carnal world of indulgence. I could go on and on. Keep in mind, though, that these are just my personal opinions. Other Satanists might not share them. One common theme that you'll run into is the relativity of Satanism, as I've already mentioned.
What ideals , if any, does satanism pursue ?
You've never read the Satanic Bible, have you?

Here's a link to the Church of Satan's website. Click on the "theory-practice" tab on the left side of the page and check out the document entitled "The Nine Satanic Statements." This should answer your question. I think many different traditions of Satanism would agree with most of these statements.
Sooo basically satanism is a conformist paradise?

Best regards.
My first suggestion is as follows: Stand in front of a mirror and stare into the eyes of your reflected *Self*............ There you will find Satan if you look close enough. "That is if you are strong and have courage to face what will be presented to you". Concerning *evil* it's a product of the human species brain-matter, nothing more. Man-kind created *evil* - it's our bastard child! ;-)
