Ok long story short I am a Christian and I was kicked out of my church for being in a lesbian relationship at the time. That relationship has since ended.

Well I have started seeing this new girl and she is really cool and sweet and all but she told me she is a Wiccan. I didn't know what that was so I just sort of nodded and said ok then changed the subject cuz I didn't want to look dumb. Well after looking into it a bit more all I know is it has to do with witchcraft. I don't want to be a bigot so I came here to learn more. So basically I just want to know little things like what’s the religion about. Is it really evil? Do you really all worship Satan and try to summon demons and what not like some of my other Christian friends have told me. Oh and those friends also told me I shouldn't hang around her. But I really like her so I don't want to listen to them.

No,it's not evil.
Wiccans don't believe in Satan at all,let alone summon him.

click on the blue links,you'll find out a lot more too from these.This is a decent article,but it's not absolute.Your girlfriend may be Eclectic or belong to a tradition or Coven group.Wiccans follow a moral code,much like any other religion and they do not engage in Devil worship or evildoing.Those lies are gross misapropriations,usually perpetrated to breed fear among the 'faithful' of certain Christian demoninations.

I will post some more info for you about Wicca in a bit,but feel free to look around the forums in the interim.We have all sorts of Pagans and Occultists and Christians hereabouts.Yes,you read correctly,Christians.Though not the sort you've been hanging around with,obviously,lol. [thumbup]

We have Satanists too,but they are no more evil than any other person in this World.

The only way to dispel fear like this is through education,we fear what we do not understand and understanding removes the barriers.Rather like homophobia,in fact.

Yeah I have also had a few bad experiences with Christians. They tend to have this firm belief that they are right and everyone else has to be wrong. I also am not Wiccan, but I have spent some time on creating many many book of mirrors, and a few precious books of shadows. If you have question in this area I may be able to help.

Thanks for all the info. So far Wicca doesn't sound bad at all. I don't understand why my church friends would say such bad stuff about it. I won't be seeing her again till school on Monday but I will call her and discuss what I have learned and see what she has to say. I hope she don't think I'm dumb for having to look it up.

Oh and just so you know. She isn't my girl friend in that way. Well at least not yet. I'm hopeful she will be one day but I don't want to rush things.
