A friend has it.I have cribbed from it's pages shamelessly over the years.It's a very handy reference tool and covers various substitions etc. where getting certain ingredients and so on may be otherwise be a problem.I like it.

Yes, it's worth having. The data contained is well worth the price. Just make sure you know what you are doing before using it.

i agree with the rest of the members...something else also.This kind of reading will surely open your prospective since it works with the whole universe.Such magic in those pages !! I loved it !!

Here's a link for Ms.Illes webpage,she has a blog that is quite interesting and informative.
There are a range of books she's authored or co/authored,on various magickal/occult themes,also available through Element.As far as I can tell,having thumbed through a few of these,they are decent resources. [thumbup]

I think it is worth the investment. I like it for the same reason I like Scott Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs: The information is varied, somewhat backed-up, and is a great starting point because it is easy to research elsewhere based on what information you are given to start with in that book, if you want to take it deeper and further (which I consider a necessity to my ever-enduring curiosity and need for seeking origins and ancient academic history on magic!). I would not consider it an all-go-to book....but a great fundamental one, even for the intermediate and advanced (and not just for the aforementioned reasons, but also because it helps expand your creativity when you find your mind being limited).
