Well...Hello, I am Amaryss... I am a painter and I am trying my best to be a good writer. I am mostly interested in philosophy and occult, which is the main reason I am here. I started studying witchcraft since I was 10, but I am interested in magic since the age of 7 when I found some of my grandmother's magic books and since that day I knew what path I want for myself. However, I am still in the process of learning and I believe I have many years to fill up with knowledge about most of the things I desire to know. That is why, for the moment I know nothing. [wink2]
My matron goddess is Selene, because I was always pulled towards the moon and its energy, and my patron God is Ahriman (I always find myself being more attracted to the dark side), even if it seems strange, because I always thought my patron god will be from the Greek Pantheon. I only recently started to accept Ahriman, even if he was present in my life for a very long time. I think I still have my doubts concerning him, because of his nature and because from which Pantheon belongs and probably because I don't really know too much about him and I don't entirely understand him. Quite confuse on this one. I will never understand why a Zoroastrian God (or evil spirit as others would call him) chose me, someone whose attention was never on his Pantheon.
What I want is to experience more things into occult and gain more knowledge within every day, so I hope this will be one of the places where I can share and learn the new and the old things.

Hello and welcome to the forum. [grin]
Re: Hello...
Welcome!
Angra Mainyu (Ahriman) is a pretty interesting god. I love studying religions, though, and Zoroastrianism was one of the ones that I was really intrigued by. I think there's nothing wrong with gods of a darker side, but all of the gods (and the one goddess) I follow are death related.
Anyway, please enjoy the stay!

Yes, Ahriman is very interesting and intriguing. For a while now I started to read all the valuable information I find on him. I knew his story before, but I never actually thought of studying Zoroastrianism. But now that I do, I guess there is more to it than I thought. I don't believe there is something wrong in following gods from a darker side, because I always found myself being attracted to this part than others. I was just confused and still am on some details. However, I guess this confusion will disappear in time, once I learn more about him, about me, and the religion itself.

Welcome Amaryss
Unfortunately I have never studied Zoroastrianism. I think mostly because it has been labeled a monotheistic religion, (whether it really is, I don't truly know. ) I am very much the same way as you in terms of spending many years filling myself up on knowledge.
