The magick of the music

For a while I've had a certain idea, which I am very keen to try out. I'm in a band which has been playing a few shows over the past few months, what I've gotten to experience through this is the energy that a crowd can generate when we're all in sync and completely letting go to the music. I'm sure all the musos here know what I mean, ;).

So here's my idea, I want to try manipulate the energy generated from the crowds at the shows, to magnify it and perhaps even perform some secret ritual with it. Am I crazy in this pursuit? Well, perhaps but I've got a good feeling. I play keyboard and sing, and I'm thinking of transforming my keyboard into an altar of sorts, sticking black candles onto it and reciting satanic scripture between, maybe during songs to build mood. This is very much an embryonic idea and I haven't had the chance to test it yet. My question is, does it sound possible? Has anyone tried this method of magical working before?

Its a pretty crazy idea, but don't let that put you off.

Yes.

And yes again.

I suck up the ambient energy at concerts and in the clubs I frequent.I 'm far from the only one who does this, lol.

I 've never done the candle thing, but that's cause I 'm not static/set up for it,lol, but I sometimes carry drawstones for storing excess for later use and that works well so I think your idea should fly...and it will amp up the atmosphere, as extra visual spectacle is cool at gigs I find personally and the trataka effect you'll get from the flames might help loosen some more of that energy out of the crowd too.

Great idea, I hadn't considered that.

The idea of the altar set up was devised after I wondered how to make it more exciting to stand at a keyboard and still be interesting.

There's a bit in there about using the energy created by a crowd to charge a sigil.

I guess essentially you just allow yourself to be a conduit for all that energy...
