I have hardly seen a soul online, and theres maybe 3 active threads on all the boards. Whats up people? Do we need to all do a spell for activity and population growth? Lol Cause I'm not acttually joking around when I say this.

I post whenever I feel qualified to answer/discuss. There are whole areas of lore which I have no experience in - I don't like to post just for the sake of it.

Well, I for one am guilty of lurking a lot. I don't really have an excuse

Perhaps it is a bit low tide at the moment, we've just had some fairly long-running contributors leave for various reasons. I have noticed a bit of an increase in facebook likes though, lol, so maybe we'll pick up some more members that way.

I did try for a bit of a social push when the site first came up, but it is a big commitment to keep up a social media presence, and life does like to spring you with unexpected pressures. I dunno.

One thing though, I'm quite glad of, though there may not be much in terms of quantity, the quality of the writing the members here produce is great, in my opinion. There are a lot of well thought-out answers, useful and very divergent insights, and what really seals it for me is that there's hardly any in-fighting. It's a place of peace and wisdom that we've all helped create, and I love it

If you click the 'active topics' link on the index page,this comes up: 3 pages of active topics all posted in within the last 6 days.Currently showing 47 topics,that's quite a lot more more than the 3 you mentioned. [grin]

You've been a member for one day Chaos Creator,how can you so be sure there's nothing going on here? [Just saying ] And some members like to message each other a lot,so are not always visible publically,though present on the site.

We have members from all over the globe,so activity varies a lot over a short space of time.At any given moment there can be numerous visitors,not all of whom log in when reading around the forum and some folk do like to read/lurk for a while before they sign up,so that is also a factor.

Like Moth says,members tend to post when they feel they can contribute something,so we don't get a flood of posts all the time,which can make us look a little slow,on the surface and also like Vashta said,we get well thought out and considered responses,which take time and a bit of thinking to put together.
I've noticed we have bursts of activity followed by slow times,but that is to be expected as it's part of life and being busy IRL,which happens to us all,I expect.

I like to take time to think about responses myself and there are areas I am not very conversant with or knowledgable about,so like other members,I try not to floof into those threads too much,but as staff,I sometimes try to help by linking information if there have been no or few responses given.
I would like some increase in activity for this kind of situation as then I wouldn't need to burst my brain so much,lol.

Please do stick around a while and see what happens.Winter in the N/H tends to cause an upsurge in posting,so it might kick off soon... [thumbup]

We don't need to be insanely busy,but we are active.
All 41 posted in within the last week.

Am I missing something here.Are we supposed to be competing with other forums?

We are not trying to be huge and there's no pressing financial need for high post counts or donations[ which we don't ask for or need] nor any dire consequences if we are a little quiet sometimes,oh and we don't explode if there aren't tons of posts everday,lol. [crazy]

i suppose it depends on whos posting because in the last two days 40 replies have been posted golly did i reply
