Depends, I suppose, on how you're defining the nature of this angel's existence. Since I define an angel as a type of self-contained intelligent cohesive energy system formed around a specific collection of ideas or concepts (whatever that defines that particular angel) you'd have to completely eradicate it from the collective unconscious. Therefore it's practically impossible to eradicate some angels (Gabriel, for example) because you'd have to eliminate every single last trace of the concept of Gabriel from existence -- good luck with that, since that particular angel is a prominent figure in several major world religions.

However, some religions define angels as having some variation of a physical/mortal existence, one that can suffer damage and feel fatigue. For example, in the Book of Genesis 32:22, Jacob decides to go wrestle with an angel (for various involved reasons) and he beats that angel in a wrestling match. Assuming we're taking the story literally, a man should be able to kill one. I suppose you'd have to be already some kind of mega badass, but enough napalm should solve anything.

Why are we killing angels today, anyway?

You cant. I see them as personifications of a universal function. Take John Dee for example, I think the "angels" just used the word "angel" because it would be something he could identify with. If they said, "hey, this is the energetic function of feeling filled with materialism" he might have been a bit confused.

Well, I'm not even sure what "vanish a demon" even means, but no, I don't believe there is a way to kill demons either. This can also lead to the question of whether angels and demons exist independent of you or if they are all in your head. If they are all in your head, would you really WANT to kill them? [lol]

Oh if they were all in my head i would've killed them all by now..with the use of some real potent drugs..but i know they are not..that they exist out of myself and i really had the idea that they could be killed..vanish could also mean banish..but no.. just disappear..banish means i make them disappear..vanish means they " somehow " disappear..killed---well--that is another term though..means not only i made them disappear but they will never come back again either for me or anyone..if they can't be killed then i was right i have been speaking with a nonsense child over the internet..maybe not..maybe they can be killed..how can i ever be sure of any of the answers ? i can't..
so for the time being i will believe that none can be killed..or vanished..or banished.. or whatsoever..which makes me happy because i really don't wish to kill anyone or anything..

@sunas:I think you may mean Vanquish? which means to defeat or conquer a foe.

Birth is usually a precursor to death and I tend to think along the lines of 'what is born must one day also die'.

So perhaps Angelic beings,as traditionally described, are beyond birth and death given that they are manifestations/directed energies of a creator god's will rather than autonomous entities in their own right?

The same line of thinking would also apply to demons also,I suppose.

I'm not sure of applications/rationalisations outside of the Abrahamic religions,though.

I do realise this is only one line of thought and it's one which is dependant on traditional belief structures and dogmas. I don't share the belief system s,so I can only speculate based on my own limited understanding.

I think it's an interesting question,though.

Humm i really hope that it goes along those lines.. i never really believed they can be killed.
It was just a question to satisfy my curiosity i am sorry, it is just that i met this girl online..on a website that has this ritual..she never really did it but i did..
we kept speaking..and things started getting interesting, still i always had my doubts that she really knew anything of which she was talking about, now..this was the tip of the iceberg. She kept speaking that she kills this and kills that with weapons that have enchantments by angels themselves and that she speaks to michael and this and that..yesterday night.. i was on " automatic writing " as my dear friend..took control of me to speak with her for a bit and thats when things got really interesting but then..i still had this doubt, so that is why i needed to ask to someone else! =)
No they cannot be killed..and no..no one besides her actually had told me that they could and if they did, i would not believe it, just like i didn't believe this girl..but all her other conversations seemed soo real, i don't think though that most of it is real now that i see it all..

A. You do some ritual but some girl did not (so therefore you don't have a ritual connection with her, but you do, but you don't? What?)
B. This girl claims to be in communication with angels and involved in some sort of literal armed conflict with them
C. You decide to do some automatic writing and believe it was this girl speaking through you (apparently?)

No man.. i met this girl in a website exposing a ritual to summon something.. which i did the ritual and the girl did not..but we kept speaking anyway..
The girl says she speaks with angels and has " special " weapons..that can kill all sorts of creatures..
The entity i summoned, writes through me to this girl..
that is how it goes ..

Well after the revelation i just had and what i felt.. i don't know what or who to believe any longer.. it just seems too.. uncertain!
I can say though that..angels can be very powerful indeed..and that themselves..or rather just one, made me aware of the fact that they can actually be killed..i kind of believe it..which makes nonsense to all this! someone can explain ?

Can she provide any details? Angels she has killed? Demons she has killed? Any details of ranks or encounters?

I can't imagine someone just wakes up one day and starts getting into armed combat with divine entities -- the idea that someone is part of an ancient family that is destined to do so and you just learned about it on the cusp of puberty (for example) sounds like the plotline of 50% of all anime in existence, or like a garbled version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Therefore presumably this girl has studied something - after all, she's the one theoretically doing it, so she's an expert. Can she tell you anything at all about what she has studied? A name? A title? Anything independently verifiable? Or is it part of some mystical initiation she's received and therefore she can't tell you (which is just /lawlz)? Let's hear some details, then.

I wouldn't go there, because even though i am very little experienced, i am 200% sure that it is all true. Why ? Do you want to go trough facts ? What about the fact that an archangel came to me in a dream ? To speak to me about everything i exposed here, everything i spoke with her, everything i have been experiencing for this last year. I am 1000% sure of what it was and i couldn't care less about the sort of explanations you could have for it..even if it looks like a movie sequel or a bunch of lies..well.. i guess then i am the one who should keep quiet, i was told indeed that if i tried to make others see it, no one would surely believe me. I think it couldn't be more right! This girl is special..those weapons do exist, Angels and Demons can in fact, stop to exist.

Whatever. If this is indeed the case, you'd better get used to incredulity from other people (like myself) without being able to pony up some proof. Without it, it sounds like a movie plot.
