GREETINGS FROM MONTENEGRO

Greetings,
I'm a newbie to occult but hungry for knowledge. I hope that I have found the right place. I've had some touch with the occult earlier, my grandmother helped me with stomache aches by speaking words in front the fire and boiling water. That's all I remembered because it was a long time ago. i must admit that it was effective. She was relluctant to pass her knowledge to me explaining that it'll bring me no good in my life. I don't believe in that.

I hope that people and existing posts on this forum will be helpful to me.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Welcome. Your English seems quite excellent indeed. Although you say your grandmother didn't teach you much, I would be grateful to discuss any topic of Pan-Slavic paganism with you. This is one of the areas in which I have strong interest and may have a few things to offer in exchange for any tidbits that you would share from the things your grandmother did pass on to you.

Thanks for a compliment. Half of my family used to live Australia, my English is better than average in my country 'cause of that.
As for Pan-Slavic paganism I have found a couple of great grimoires and books in Serbian. If You're really interested in it I can translate some of them. Grandmother didn't want to pass her knowledge on me, but I spied on her many times and memorized some of the rituals. I'm also trying to get in touch with some of the locals who practice this kind of magic.
For further information contact me by PM.

Looking forward to cooperating with You.

That would be incredibly kind of you and most dearly appreciated by me. Please contact me via a private message in this regard. I will be happy to put all of my knowledge and experience at your disposal as well. I've been practicing all aspects of Ninjutsu for over 40 years as well as Taoist Alchemy, Qigong and hardcore Zen/shugendo. For about the last 20 or so years I've been under the personal protection of an energy I identify as the Roman diety Mars and have been exploring the paths to developing the skills of the Flamen Martialis/Evokate. I also work with energies I've identified as Tengu, which are reclusive spirits of Japanese origin. Please not that I'm neither delusional nor a cook. I'm a very serious practitioner. I'd like to add that I've had some contact with Serbs and have a deep respect for the Serbian people, their culture, strength and traditions. They were the toughest and most courageous soldiers I've ever seen, truly magnificent and many of their women were deeply dignified and noble, especially from the villages.I will never forget them.

Well, I've started learning some theory of Ninjutsu. I could make a good use of some hints, so we'll keep in touch. People from our region are known as spirited and of strong mind. Vlaska magick has survived many years and is widely spread and is a 'public secret'.
You have a rich history so a cooperation with You can bring mi nothing but improvement.

Thank You again.

Thanks for the lead on vlaska Magic. I found an interesting link, but it really only covered a few generalities. I enjoyed the data it did provide though and It seemed to me that I detected some interesting individualities in the style. The links I found are here. I'd love to meet and learn from Baba Desanka.Tell me if you can ad anything to the details provided. Thanks Brat!

Hello SiddhartaMNE,

There are a number of different occult paths and which way you follow will depend on your own interests and inclination. If you like things which are more mathematical and complex then you might consider moving in the direction of Enochian Magick, for example. Or, there is also the much simpler and Nature oriented branches of Witchcraft.

But, regardless of these specifics, there is a basic knowledge base and set of skills that is important and applies to most all of the paths. You might think of it like school: you begin learning more general things and then move deeper into detail building on what you know and then specialize. I would like to make some recommendations to you on where to begin.

Theory:

http://www.amazon.com/Biocentrism-Consc ... iocentrism

http://www.amazon.com/The-Western-Esote ... +tradition

Theory + Techniques:

http://www.amazon.com/Magical-Imaginati ... athworking

http://www.amazon.com/The-New-Hermetics ... +hermetics

http://www.amazon.com/Lessons-Raja-Will ... =raja+yoga

http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Magick-Twe ... ern+magick

http://www.amazon.com/Psychic-Self-Defe ... lf+defence

Basic Skills:

http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Work-Secre ... bert+bruce

http://www.youtube.com/user/RealAstralBob?feature=watch (energy work, to feel it and move it, is essential)

http://www.amazon.com/Practical-Sigil-M ... 1ZNV5MX7KV

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yAW_8qjqCM (If you tractice Trataka Yoga you will develop better visualization ability and clairvoyance)

I also recommend a daily meditation practice. There are many techniques and you should find one that works for you. Finally, especially for some paths but applicable to all, it is my opinion that a solid connection to Higher Positive Powers is important. If you are not connected to Christianity then it might be good to find yourself a nice pagan pantheon.

Good luck and remember, don't believe anyone until you have convinced yourself by direct experience.

Well, Asurendra, I must say that this was the most helping response to my post. Thank You very much for the time it took You to write it and for your hardwork. I reviewed these books and found many of them useful for my research and studying. I hope that I can feel free to ask You anything that can help me.

Regards,
