Hey all. I bought Modern Majick and a couple other books and have been studying them in my spare time, which has taken away from my forum wandering. Have no fear, I shall return to harass you all as soon as I can [eg]
Question. "Magick: book 4.. liber aba"... is there a book 1, 2, & 3? Maybe I'm searching wrong, but all I get to come up is 4.

Liber aba, book 4 is made up of the 4 books within liber aba. You can buy the books separately or you can buy them as the single big blue brick. The first book in liber aba is mysticism, this book isn't very long and I haven't seen this outside aba but you can find 8 lectures on yoga, which is better. Book 2 is magick and you can find this simply as book 4. This is the thin black covered book that says book 4 on the cover. The third book is magick in theory and practice and the forth book is the equinox of the gods. So, while you can find most of the material in liber aba elsewhere, there is a ton of material added at the end that makes aba worth getting so that you don't have to go hunt down other books to know what crowley was talking about.

^ This.
Fully half of Liber ABA is the appendices.
I would recommend just buying Liber ABA (the big blue book) since it is the most cost efficient and convenient way to get all the material together.
...Even though huge portions of the book are nonsensical Crowley cocaine rants. Damn.

No, there are no books 1, 2 or 3. According to Crowley, he was instructed to write
Liber ABA (Book 1 + 2 + 1 [Book 4]) from a non-human entity. The title was supposedly communicated to him. Similar to his story about
Liber Legis.
