Hi,

I hope to find some direction as to what system would best suit my goals and interests. Can some of you please read and let me know if anything comes to mind?

Professionally, I do healing work and practice martial arts, both are japanese systems.

I'm not particularly interested in worship or casting spells. I am interested in experiencing different realms and realizing the entirety of my being. I'm interested in opening my chakras and building my personal power. I'd like to communicate with Budo deities and healing spirits of some sort, and above all develop my power of intention.

I've made some suggestions about Shamanism on another thread but I want to add some other resources for you here. Perhaps you would be more atune to working with the Kami in your area.

Those suggestions are a perfect starting point for me. I bought most of the books you recommended and they seem to be a step in the right direction. I live steps away from the largest lake on earth so there must be some significant kami here.

Thank you! Qigong is great, I've practiced it quite a bit, additionally I would like to develop my ability to perceive the spiritual realm on a more esoteric level. With qigong I can feel energy quite easily and it helps me build my own ki to effect others and protect myself during treatments.
