I've been reading an abundance about the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram but I have a problem...

I'm rather inept in regards to compass directions. I understand where they align on a compass (east on the right side, west on the left side) but I am clueless at regards to applying it to the real world. I have no idea which wall in my bedroom is north, south east, or west!

Before someone tries to tell me to just go out and purchase a compass, I'd like to say that I have a miniscule amount of money at my disposal. I could ask my parents for one as a belated birthday present (I really didn't get much of anything, and it was only a few weeks ago) but I'd need to find a mundane reason when I'm asked the inevitable question "Why do you want a compass? You don't do shit."

If I modify the ritual so I don't have to turn to the compass directions, or say, use the clock (12, 3, 6, 9) instead would it fuck the whole thing up?

Use google map to align your house with the cardinal directions, and then go from there. That's what I did.

Thanks. It took a long ass time, I had to search for a few streets over cuz mine didn't appear lol.

If you have a smart phone, most of them have compass apps or you can download a basic one for free.
