Ideas on Occult Forum book

Greetings...
My husband and I would like your input on a book we are writing. How this is going to work is that you should give us a subject on the Occult which you would like to read. Every member on this forum must please give their input and suggestions on what they would like to see. This book will be released on this website, free to every member.
Note however, that this book will not be written according to one ''school'' of belief in the Magical Divide.
This will work on a voting system. The most suggestions will get their piece in the book etc etc.
The sole reason that my husband and I will write this book, is simply because of our love and dedication to the Occult Arts.
Thank you all kindly...

Due to a lack of interest, we withdraw this post. Apparently no one is interested in broadening their perspective on the Occult.
Thank you Occult Forum for running this post.
Kindest Regards,
Araignee Arcane

Your book can be based on research and extrapolation of the data presented in the many posts already existing in the forum. Pick whatever you like.

You are the only one who responded to our post...
Thank you kindly, but we graciously decline. We know very well of all the topics on this site, however - we wished to write about fresh ideas. Also on a specific topic - thereby being able to write extensively upon it and not just try to encompass everything discussed here.
We merely wished to see the interest shown here in regards to something like that. Since, as we said, you are the only one who replied, we recieved our answer.
Our proposition on writing a book may have been premature or a bit ignorant, however we did have the best of intentions.
Wishing you all the best,
araignee

You have a very negative attitude.
You've made 10 posts on this forum and expect everybody to jump at your suggestion.

If you wanted instant response you've come to the wrong kind of site.
We're not a live messenger. Topics can take weeks to flesh out, as most members have quite busy lives and they also tend to only post where they have prior interest, ongoing interest, or indeed enough free time to commit to a subject or project.
Also, perhaps you don't realise it, but your post reads like a command and most members here will simply ignore instructions that are written this way.
Trying to elicit a mass response [or a consensus view lol] from Occultists is like trying to herd cats.
If you were to leave the topic open for a while, you may have found more enthusiasm later on. We have dips and rises in posting due to seasonal reasons, work commitments and academic schedules etc..

Good point. We are (obviously) new to this site - and did not realise the type of posting patterns the people here follow.
Thanks though, will keep that in mind for future references.

Many practitioners tend to keep fresh ideas to themselves for a variety of very good reasons. some may have plans to publish works of their own and might be reluctant to share prematurely. Having said this, many threads contain bits and pieces of new ideas as well as development of those ideas. Doing the leg work will yield many ideas to be exploited. You just have to do the work yourself....unless you are willing to pay for people to share, but I think such practices are against the policies of the forum. Whatever the case I wish you growth and good fortune. STOP MONSANTO!

Yeah, I have read your blog as mentioned in the other thread, so people are definitely interested in discussion.
Things around here move at a slower pace than other forums as have been mentioned, I myself only ever really show up in either:
1) Threads that are revealed in the New Posts Listing
2) Threads I've already posted in
Otherwise, it's unlikely i'm going to find a specific thread unless I perform a search before starting a new one.
As for a book, I think its a good idea, but rather than a general occult forum book, its probably better to think of a particularly topic and have contributors write about that specific topic, say for example, Necromancy in Disparate Traditions or something of that sort.
I am being published in a similar anthology to do with how Men can work and approach modern Paganism which is seen as a 'Goddess orientated religion'. It gave me a good excuse to flex my offensive muscles, so to speak, and gave me a weighty topic I could easily sink my teeth into for 2000+ words. Such an approach would probably benefit any project.
I am definetly on board to to discuss this more, as long as the topic would be something I have knowledge of. but currently could not commit to any restrictive time frame if i were t contribute.

Thanks for the reply.
The anthology on men in Paganism sounds interesting. We detest sexist mentalities in any form. Some individuals always seem to make the mistake in assuming that certain occult practices are only meant for certain genders - magick is quite neutral and un-biast.
Thanks for the offer with contributing and discussing. We are always open-minded.
There's not a vast amount of books on the subject of Necromancy...perhaps there's an idea.
