Hello all

I would like to know how other people work within or understand how to work withing the jewish tradition., when i say tradition i mean fallowing the moon calendar, not worshiping other gods or goddesses, using psalms, scroll talismans, kosher salt, doing work for protection and healing using oils or candles, love healing as well etc., also Kaballah and the names of G-d., but i dont know it all, im new to the idea of what i call taking extra actions because its only been until now that i have been faced with a situation where the law where i am is used against me and not to protect me which is what it is, i get people telling me that if i go to court to get a toungue and coffin nails, does this sound jewish?, dont think so., but if its to defend myself it may as well be., but who is sure right.

Jewish mysticism is an absolutely MASSIVE paradigm, and it might help to narrow your scope down as much as possible. I see you're already doing so, which is great, but be careful to use a reliable and credible source of Jewish material wherever possible, and not just rely on pseudo-occult material that claims to be directly linked with the paradigm. Like with other large religions (and small ones too, from time to time), there are plenty of people who claim to know everything, while their knowledge turns out to just be overly opinionated psychobabble.

I've done a bit of searching, and come across the following sites which may help you:

I found a few Kaballah communities in Safed Israel that you may find interesting, including sites which host recitations of psalms and Tanakh in all the minhags and on line reading with transliterated with hebrew of all this., i thin there is more but im looking for people who are into it, like i foud guy who is part of a hoodoo site in Texas, he told me he uses Dominos or stones for divination, and im wondering about Segula (sigil) but i read its the lesser key of Solomon, im trying to avoid dark forces.

I dont know what i can and can not post here so i hope i did not break any rules, i had a few otehr sites warn me about that but i think it was because they also sell things.

Im really hoping to find someone who is both jewish (familiar with traditional jewish practice Sephardi etc) and familiar with Occult to compare where things work,

I think the best way to describe my little world is like this:
1-Musican
2- i was raised to believe i was a orthodox christian,
3- Some how i walked into a period of Santaria because of a friend ( was actually initiated and left),
4- Found out my mom was jewish and makes me that and i love it,
5-Im familiar with Tarot, astrology, some palm reading from my past and Kaballah (used to fiddle with a Crowley deck) but never did anything practical, just read a book.
6-Im familiar with Hebrew, Siddut, Teffilin, high hollidays, Yanakh/Torah, the Ramban and Rambam (very little), using Psalms, candles, oils, i have a few seals of solomon (from ebay),
7-i am a bit versed on some mysticism on a practical level, obviously i had been exposed to Sataria, orishas which is like voodo what i consider christian,
8-On Islam have looked into the koran and hadeeths, seen the comparisons to what jews will say is plagerism and poor non Rabanical simulation of jewish rituals with a christian interpretation, i heard of Taweez and the names of the jinns which correspond to the Jewish demons and on, i know that Muslims and other eastern religions or cults believe they can attach a jinn to a bottle or ring, you can find them on sale for between $100-$5000+ Dollars, i know that taweez is something arabs do which requires geometric calculations based on numerology of a persons name and their mothers to determine which jinn to work with based on its elemental world and i know muslims use dua's like hindu and Buddhists use chants to connect with deities by repeating them while fasting until they connect, and i agree with their interpretation of how people bond with deities-demons etc by defaming G-d, scribbling G-ds words or sacrificing some blood or a person to convince king Jinns to accept a initiate according to the idea the jinns where banished and un finished during creation in Genesis before G-d rested with man kind (adam ) n the 7thd day so its remembered for eternity as a sign that the true g-d is eternal etc etc.

Ive been looking at hoodoo, i feel safe if work is not diety dedicated and based on protection, healing, reversal stuff.
as i said before, im hoping to find practical kabalists from a jewish perspective because three are already rituals withing traditional judaism that jews who criticize kabalah have no idea about, for example the mezuza, the teffilin where figured out and explained because of the KABALLAH., but dont tell that to the jew that tells you one can go crazy if they study Kaballah.

Again at the moment i am trying to decide if i can even understand Sigil, Seals of solomon ad Moses, Kameas (jewish ritual stuff) like taking a animal penis and cooking it or even as simple as tossing salt into flames for something, if you know about any of this do share cause i see some people do around here but Sigil looks mostly Latin based and on the dark side so far.

Yeah, be very careful - this is a huge tradition, so be careful who you work with and who you trust. Follow your common sense - it already sounds like you have enough of an understanding to know what you do and do not want to study, so rely on your instincts.

The basic rule here is that we don't allow people to post links to commercial sites where the sole purpose of the site is to sell a product or a service. Posting links to reference material, or sites that sell material which directly relates to the topic being discused is acceptable. For example: if you're discussing Kaballah, a link to a site that sells books on Kaballah which may help the person asking questions to better understand the subject is okay (in moderation), but just posting a link to a bookshop is not. Make sure that if you do post a link that it goes to the page with the information on it, not to the home page.

I used to have the same concern with Crowley. I think you should read what he wrote before you judge him. Make your decision afterward. The same goes for any other occultist, or any writer period. Read the good stuff and the bad stuff; get a whole picture.

i agree, i never judged him at all, just telling you what some people i knew in the past who dedicated their whole life to the occult told me, for example his equinox set are filled with holes and a are a run a mock, that he changed some of the 22 arcana cards in his deck which sounds interesting to me and that he sold everyone's secrets to a new age mainstream occult generation to make a name and sells books etc, i do not take any credit away from him for what i see so far about him, especially since the British Intelligence had hired him in the past which makes him incredibly interesting to start with just with this.

Where would you suggest i start if i want to stay within torah and shield out negative incidents like family harassment, experiences with unseen entities in a home spying on a family, prevent people from slandering, attempting to harm you etc, some people say its ok to do hoodoo as long as its not praying and depending on some deity etc, should i read that book suggested before and try ceremonial magic or is natural magic like candles with spalms, kosher salt using stanzas from psalm 119 and scissors in tanakh all i need?

I am Jewish, but definitely not ordinary reform which to me feels like nothing Jewish. Neither am I a follower of strict halachah Orthodox Judaism, although I do follow most halachah, particularly KASHRUT, the Shema (kabbalistic version), prayers before eating and other similar types of prayers, MEZUZOT on every door except bathroom, and more. I am a member of CHABAD.ORG and comment on many of their online interactive subjects, but I am NOT a follower of CHABAD type Judaism, although Menachem Mendel Shneershon may have been a close precursor to the appearance of the Moshiach, as was Avraham Abulafia, Gikatilla, RaMChaL, David Azulai, Moshe De Leon, ARIZAL and other great kabbalists.

The Jewish Tradition regarding Kabbalah in Tzfat (Safed) and other cities in ISRAEL, is that you should have studied TORAH and TALMUD for years before "entering the Orchard", referring to 4 high Rabbis that eneterd and one became immediately INSANE, another died instantly, another was "cut off at his roots" and only Rabbi Akiva entered in peace and left in peace.

Practical kabbalah is usually heavily frowned upon, unless you are one of the great mekubalim. All gentile practises around cabala are considered from the left, the side of the Sitra Achra, so one should never even mention them to halachic Jews, as they may literally cast stones on you. Making kabbalistic Talismans is considered an Art and Science that RAMBAM dissapproaved of, but others are accepting of it. Also, it will be very rare to find a REBBE who would instruct a non-orthodox Jew in any deeper aspects of real kabbalah.

CROWLEY: Dr Stephen Hoeller, Los Angeles head of Gnostic something or other won't even look at you if you merely mention the name of The Beast. M P Hall divested his great library of any and all Crowleys writings and anyone directly connected to him, The Beast.
