Not sure if this is the proper place for this, but here goes.
This is probably the closest of the specific forum boards. I considered moving it to 'Reason and unreason', but you're approaching it from more of a spiritual perspective, so Spirituality is more accurate. [thumbup]

My life is ruled by the number 9 in a few ways. I was born on December 9, which makes my Zodiac sign, Sagittarius, the 9th house, my life path number in numerology is 9, and the day of my birthday is ruled by the number 9.
Have you ever studied Greek Isopsephy? A study of Isopsephy may prove interesting, if you wish to look into a non-Gematric system of Numerology. Abjad Notation is also fascinating, especially in relation to its use in ciphers. In Chinese, 9 (九 kɐ̌u) means 'long in time', (久 'kɐ̌u') 'enough', (夠 'kɐ̄u') or a slang/vulgar word derived from dog. This is drawn as 狗 'kɐ̌u' in Cantonese. '99' means 'Eternity'. Numerology also has strong links to Alchemy, but I'll leave it to you to look into those links if that is something that interests you. Did you know that the Periodic Table originated from Numerology? Dirac's large number hypothesis (LNH), which states that the strength of gravity, as represented by the gravitational constant, is inversely proportional to the age of the universe was used to develop James G. Gibsons 'Quantum Theory of Gravity'. Although Quantum Gravity (QG) goes against Einstein's general theory of relativity, assigning gravitational force to quantum field theory being problematic, this is then reconciled through String Theory.
I've provided a link to Leonardo of Pisa's (aka Fibonacci) Liber Abaci in PDF form below.

Liber Abaci isnt Numerology in a magickal sense, but it can provide some interesting insights into the development of numbers, and the Hindu-Arabic system we use today.

Another thing which may just be coincidental, but still funny considering my question - I work on the 9th floor at the hospital I work in. I've read up a bit on the number 9, but I was just surprised how often 9 comes up in my life, especially when I started spiritually awakening and learning about astrology.
Some more information concerning the number nine.
Chinese culture
* Nine (九 pinyin jiǔ) is considered a good number in Chinese culture because it sounds the same as the word "longlasting" (久 pinyin jiǔ).
* Nine is strongly associated with the Chinese dragon, a symbol of magic and power. There are nine forms of the dragon, it is described in terms of nine attributes, and it has nine children. It has 117 scales - 81 yang (masculine, heavenly) and 36 yin (feminine, earthly). All three numbers are multiples of 9 (9×13=117, 9×9=81, 9×4=36)[1] as well as having the same digital root of 9.
* The dragon often symbolizes the Emperor, and the number nine can be found in many ornaments in the Forbidden City.
* The circular altar platform (Earthly Mount) of the Temple of Heaven has one circular marble plate in the center, surrounded by a ring of nine plates, then by a ring of 18 plates, and so on, for a total of nine rings, with the outermost having 81=9×9 plates.
* The name of the area called Kowloon in Hong Kong literally means: nine dragons.
* The nine-dotted line (Chinese: 南海九段线; pinyin: nánhǎi jiǔduàn xiàn; literally: "Nine-segment line of the South China Sea") delimits certain island claims by China in the South China Sea.
* The nine-rank system was a civil service nomination system used during certain Chinese dynasties.
