Beginner's Book to Begin Developing Psychic Intuition

Hey all. I'm currently working on developing my abilities in meditation with the eventual goal of being able to enter a magical trance. Since this seems to be the most foundational ability when it comes to casting spells and such, I'm not too interested in casting spells or summoning entities etc. But I figured while I develop the meditation I could work on developing my psychic intuition. I'm going to be honest, I don't know much about psychic phenomena but I have for a while felt some natural predilection toward it, though all my experiences until a few days ago I just laughed off as coincidence.

I've recently been working on remembering my dreams. The other day while reading a website I was reading that working on developing your psychic intuition can help you when reading tarot because it allows you to make connections you often would rarely make with your conscious mind.

As I was going to sleep I was willing myself to remember my dreams, while simultaneously thinking about how one might go about enhancing psychic intuition. The lines must have crossed because I woke up five hours later after dreaming that I had $39.24 in my checking account (I try to keep a low balance and transfer money in to help me keep on top of how much I am spending), and two upcoming charges that were going to overdraft me. Now, money is always on my mind at the end of a month (I'm a freelance writer with a regular contract so I get paid by the month) but because I had been obsessing over trying to read as much about magic as possible I had forgotten to check my account for three days. I checked my account and I had exactly $39.24 and there was a pending charge for for $40.00 that was set to go in the next day, and another charge that came in that afternoon. This, I determined, could not have been a coincidence. I legitimately had no idea how much money was in my account and there is very little chance that my subconscious calculated the precise amount of money down to a cent that I had spent the last few days.

This combined with my thinking about dreams, plus how to develop my psychic intuition would make for an insane coincidence. I began thinking about some other events. Several times throughout my life I have been going about my life and had a strong desire to speak to a particular friend I hadn't talked to in a very long time and within a few hours they would call me out of the blue.

This happened the other day when I was thinking of a couple I am friends with that have been having trouble with having children for the past few years. About a year ago something really bad happened to them and they sort of withdrew and I hadn't talked to them but once or twice since then, and maybe the odd Facebook message. As I was thinking about how much I miss them the other day, literally as I was thinking about them and staring at my computer wanting to call but not wanting to be pushy I got a Facebook message from her and shortly thereafter, a long email from her detailing what had been going on in their lives for the past year or so.

This sort of thing has happened maybe ten or eleven times in the past four or five years, and thinking about whether or not this is coincidence, I feel maybe it wasn't this is because each of these times it happened I was wanting to talk to the friend but wasn't sure if it was a good time to do so, and then the exact friend I was thinking of calls me. It's always connected with a deep desire to correspond with them that's far beyond the "hey i should call him soon" sort of thought.

Anyway, I am looking for a solid book (there is a lot of bullshit out there about psychic intuition) that will help me become more familiar with these tendencies, and develop them gradually. I'm always suspicious of promises of easy "THIS BOOK WILL TURN ANYBODY INTO A TRANSCENDENT PSYCHIC MEDIUM POWERHOUSE" sorts of books. Can anybody help?

You might wanna look at this. Science of Breath. It deals with many more aspects and psychic as well. Again can't promise anything as I am a beginner as well and still practicing but seems to be promising so far. Besides it has been recommended to me by one of the most experienced members here in the forums. So do check it out.

If you want I can PM you a file containing bunch of exercises for beginners. It will help you develop your psychic senses. Then you can move on to bigger stuff.

And as for developing your intuition try this- every day pick a tarot card that is supposed to answer a simple question you ask. For example, "How will my day go today?" Look at the card and use it's meanings and your intuition to find your answer. Then write it down in your journal and then verify your findings. You don't need to know all the information about how a particular tarot card should be read. There are plenty of free online resources that contains keywords, general meaning and meanings related to certain situations (health, spirituality, etc.) about them. Use them as your guideline. I hope it helps.

Psyionics is a huge field. It might be worth doing some research into.

There are many different forms of meditation. Not all of them require you to be still and without thought.
