Is there such a thing as "Mirror Magick" ... ?

I have some questions regarding mirrors,
Are there any paradigms for the use of magick through mirrors?
For example:
Is it possible to create a servitor through a mirror?
|
Is it possible to use a white mirror to form a good servitor?
And a black mirror for a bad servitor?
An example would be that you are offering your reflection as an empty "light being" vessel for your servitors spirit to possess. ~
What other ways could a mirror be used for magick?
Could we heal ourselves through mirrors?
Could we intentionally become possessed through the use of a mirror and sigils?

Mirrors are usually for evocations, summons and by extension used in clairvoyant practice not unlike crystal ball use. The urban legend of the Bloody Mary phenomenon is all about mirrors..

As Cyberdemon said. Bardon gives extensive instruction for using mirrors in magic, including for evocation and scrying, if you want a starting point, but it's a fair way into his system of training.

To add to the last two posts, there is also a method for linking two magick mirrors together for communicating across vast distances. I would assume you need a magician on either end for that to work properly.
You can probably do a lot more with a mirror, with a little bit of creativity.

Ah the two-way mirror thing from Harry Potter. I don't know if anyone's actually managed to make one in reality yet, but I have a feeling the Ellis web would make a fine network to connect across.

It would be easy to tap into, but I'm not sure if it would really be "fine", in the sense that it's a useful thing to do.
I haven't heard of anyone even trying the two-way spell, but one day when I have the skill and a friend to help, I'll let you know how it goes. It'd be a fun project.
I've actually been rewatching Harry Potter the past couple days to gather some inspiration on new things to try out using real magick. Thankfully, fiction writers do their research quite a bit, and though they take a lot of creative liberties, they also give a lot to work off of using the actual laws.

A two-way mirror seems rather cumbersome when astral projection or telepathy could achieve the same result.

Astral projection requires leaving your body unattended, as well as the other skills and dangers involved, and not everyone is as good at telepathy with other people (lolme).
A more accurate statement would be "A two-way mirror is cumbersome when you could just pick up a damn phone" xD

The Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor did a lot of mirror work, you may be interested.

Could this work?
What if we can use colors in our mirrors to perform different types of magicks?
Like red and yellow/gold, and blue and or green?
Or maybe perhaps - use a crystal mirror that is associated with a type of w/e energy that would fit the profile of our "thought up" magickal subject?
Like for example,
What if we had a crystal mirror that associates itself with "orgone" energy and i.d.k. what kind of color would be used for this mirror *I'll let y'all decide what color* but yeah - what if we used the reflection of that mirror to infiltrate the mind of a person who is asleep and possibly already dreaming?

Sympathetically speaking, there are a lot of uses and applications for mirrors and mirroring, reflection, deflection, representation and refraction. [thumbup] [geek2] [greensmile]
