Holy Guardian Angel

A friend of mine mentioned connecting with his HGA through permutating three different angels associated with his birth: Month, Day, and Hour. Through Gematria he discovered his HGA equals 72, the level of Divine consciousness he finds himself working with.
Does anyone in the community have experience with that? Below is my reply to my friend:
My only experience with HGA is my own and it had nothing to do with birthdays, at least, in the stricter sense of the word. It had nothing to do with my day, month, or hour, but in my stars. And that became apparent many years later.
As to how I connected: years of ritual, meditation, drugs, and yoga cumulating in a three person Solomonic Ritual. One adept came from the Grecian tradition, the other from the Egyptian, and myself, from the Babylonian and Chaldean.
My Grecian friend brought some wormwood for his offering to the coal, and as soon as he placed it, I had a vision of being a French Adept, and through that vision, I connected with my HGA.
Since then I have found many verifying synchronicities; everything from the shape of my chart and energies I naturally resonant with, to a hundred other little signs along the way.
In saying, I cannot pretend to know what the standard way of connecting with the HGA is. If your connection arises from letter permutations and gematria, then so be it. All I can say is that when we connect, everything starts to make sense and come into focus. We touch in with a deeper level of being, and with that, we gain a more encompassing perspective and understanding of life.
