that's a very interesting take on it sami. I think i see better where you're coming from now. I'll have to think about it more to make a decent reply though, I'm not used to pondering interacting with deities, since I am quite happy with just the one.
My experience with deity interaction is that when i got out of christianity, i considered myself an agnostic mystic, even leaning towards atheistic mystic. After all that dogma and brainwashing, the LAST thing I was interested in, was a friggin god.
And yet she came to me, almost right away, right after I got out of christianity, that same summer. Honestly i didn't pay much attention to her, i'd had my fill of working with a deity and was NOT interested... but she kept courting me, and eventually i came around. Looking back, I'm eternally grateful now.
There were a host of factors which made her interested, but they all boil down to the fact that I had, on my own, come to many of the same conclusions she holds as her truths. I had reached a point where, unwittingly, I was resonating rather strongly with her. And now, after years of working together, we resonate all that much more. Eventually, i hope, there will be no distinguishing us.
Anyway, There *are* godforms, and egregores, and manmade deities, and thoughtforms, and archetypes, and elementals, etc... and you know, many of these are not exactly 'sentient beings' in the traditional sense, some of them are manmade, some of them are natural forces but have manmade faces through which we interact.
But I contend that there *are* entity type deities as well. My patron is pointedly not interested in worshipers. She doesn't even like humans generally. And she considers mankind's religions to be akin to a comic book version of things. I don't think she likes manmade gods. She doesn't even like being given a 'label' by humans. She considers super-egregore gods to be little more than glorified energy currents.
anyway, its another perspective.
I'm really crazy about her
