On a side note with Babalon I wrote a thread on her recently; it's interesting that in one sense she seems like the perfect fit for a western rendition of the Eastern Saturnine and kundalini goddess Kali and at the same time she seems to be something like a Maat-Hathor fusion (somewhat like Ishtar and Astarte are Mars-Venus fusions but my experience of running into what I thought was her archetype seemed to be like the wielder of the sword of exacting truth and reason with Hathor's sense of liberality and wit driving its application). It makes me wonder just what kinds of linkages there are between Binah and the Geburah/Netzach axis, whether or not I was actually encountering Her current proper it seems like there's something of a reinforcing 3-5-7 relationship.
Yeah, Babalon has that whole "pure feminine" energy that gets tied to Binah, and definitely relates to Maat. The thing about Maat is the concept is both eastern and western, resembling the natural processes of nature and the ordered creation of the cosmos. For me I have Maat in Binah with Osiris in Geburah and Horus in Netzach. The victory and triumphant beauty of Netzach that is magic relies on the there being strength/power/restriction in the universe as well as a fundamental truth/underlying processes to be accomplished. Without order we could not refine our practice. Without strength we could not dare, without restriction we could no will.

I thought the text quoted here in OP was supposed to be code, not taken literally?

No, Crowley's comment is very serious for him. Another member named Frater Achad (I believe it was him, I get historical names mixed up) had been doing heavy work on the initiatory system and suggested that the current model was incorrect and needed to be addressed. This would have questioned all the initiates as the former requirements and rituals would have been wrong. These initiates included Crowley. So, he added the comment so that people like Achad wanting to reinterpret things based on AL and the new Aeon could not challenge his authority. More proof that Crowleyanism and Thelema are both very real and separate religions.
