Reading material question

Post by Quixoticelixer »

im a new occultist and have just started reading "Initiation into Hermetics" By Franz Bardon

ive only just got into the practical section of the book and so far have found it to be very informative and it has shed new light on things i had already been noticing and thinking.

My question is this, is this a good book for a beginner to read and is there another book(s) which i should be reading too while just starting out?

Thanks for any and all information!
I wish it were so when you told me that you were solid gold.

It is good, but is a very hard and long course. In my opinion, you should read other stuff for a while.

Well Franze Bardon is a bit chunky to start with. How about Ceremonial Magick by Isreal Regardie. Dion Fortunes Mystical Kabala. Get a basics course in Carl Jung so read Joalandi Jacobi 'The way of individuation', AC Magick in Theory and Practice,- just off the top of my head.

I'd just like to add Liber MMM to Q789's list - yes, its a Chaos Magic series of exercises to strengthen ones ability to perform magic, but it also applies to all other paradigms, and the lessons you learn working through it set you up for many paradigms, I feel.
