Tune I made and recovered :)

Post by Nemiel »

Click here to hear the audio :)

This is a track I made about 7 or 8 years ago, I thought it was lost forever, but thankfully a great friend and inspiration of mine recovered it from the depths of his old music CD collection. :)

This is one of two tracks that I felt were much the best quality tracks I produced, I still hold out hope for the other track, but soon I hope to recreate it and make music again when I purchase a KORG Electribe MX - hopefully I will get more readings and my new business will prosper this year, all signs point to it anyway :)

I produced this track using a KORG Electribe SX and a KORG Triton Extreme, I didn't use software VSTs at the time, I love hardware as I enjoy the feel of them when jamming :)

Enjoy the track :)

Good shot :)

Sounds like you've got pretty decent EQing and sound-crafting skills. Not sure how I'd classify it - tech-house or somewhere between that and tribal trance? That minimal area between house, trance, and techno is a pretty big cut of astral real-estate and lots of great ideas to be mined within it.
You don't have to do a thing perfect, just relentlessly.

Thanks man!

I miss jamming like this, currently saving my magick beanz to my musick trust to continue making some wave forms. ;)

I don't know how to label it myself, it is under the umbrella of trance, but also some Jungle, Old Skool and NRG. :p

It's a bit of a shame with me right now.

As in, I've got an Access Virus Ti2 keyboard next to me that barely gets the kind of use it deserves.

Still trying to think of ways to get myself back into the creative endeavor, killed my motivation with too much an attempt to do my own mixing and mastering.

Been looking around Youtube at analog synths just to get my motivation back and noticed the Elektron Analog Four is a nice little number. I could see myself getting something like a Microbrute or a Moog Minitaur as an analog toy one of these days if I'm up for it.
You don't have to do a thing perfect, just relentlessly.
