pendulum for reading for self

Post by beero »

Hi do you think pendulum divination is a good way of divining for yourself? I heard some divination systems like tarot aren't so good for reading for yourself

also, is it feasible that an experienced magician or psychic could influence a pendulum or other reading to give false information, or is that unlikely to happen

thanks

Well, I guess there is two schools.

One says that divination comes from outside, and the other one says that divination comes from inside.

I believe in the second, so for me tarot is a great way to learn about myself.
I've never really liked the pendulum. For some reason I find it to be less complex then the tarot deck.

do you think it is hard to get good information of a more general nature, for example how a certain course of action is likely to work out for you, using the pendulum?

Hi there, Beero.

I'm not huge on the pendulum - I have a lovely one made out of amethyst, and have used it with some success in the past, but I find it an inadequate method of divining because the information it can give you is so limited. Even though getting results with it can be thrilling, I found I always ran out of questions to ask in a damn hurry. Yes or No just doesn't cut it when you're looking for serious guidance.

As for whether a course of action is likely to work out for you - yes, you could use your pendulum to ask that question. But again, the answer will be short on details.

It can be tricky to read Tarot for yourself, since it is sometimes difficult to be objective - however, the depth of information presented in even a simple spread is far greater than what the pendulum can provide.

I guess my advice is - try it out and see whether the pendulum is something you can work with. :)

Best of luck!
Eremita
