I'll never understand why Christians fail to see that science has disproven much of the events that are explained in the bible, never mind the fact that the bible has disproven itself via contradictions. Sorry but to me that makes the document and the resulting religion a fraud.

The atheistic ideology that drives it. An experience of mine directly disproved the notion that there isn't a such thing as supernatural entities (whatever you choose to call them). That and I see it more as a philosophy than as a religion.
