A candle holder breaking is usually a sign that perhaps the goal of the working was not justified. In other experiences a candle that burns extremely small may also mean the same or that you were not as specific as needed, while a particularly high burning flame shows much force being utilized.

I've actually noticed the opposite with myself. I appear much older than I am physically but I don't think I would put the credit for this on my practice. He's definitely very big on practically plagiarizing Andrew Chumbley's written works and even the art in his earlier books reeks of Azoetia illustrations. I personally find his system to be lacking in both originality and profundity. He tends to interpret pantheons according to his own 'adversarial'...
