From what you've said I would perhaps recommend study of and meditation / pathworking on the Qabalah. The absolute best book I've found in terms of clarity and application is 'Simplified Qabalah Magick', I really can't recommend it highly enough - it cleared up a lot of questions for me.

I would suggest you do a magickal operation to make you more attractive to those you are attracted to, rather than directing it at a specific person. The latter is a bad idea in a number of ways.

One could say that Austin Spare was in the 'mundane' towards the end of his life. But that would be an interpretation of his circumstances rather than his paradigm.

Perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram in the morning and in the evening. Measure if anything changes. If not we'll bring out the bigger guns.

I would recommend a good book on Sigil Magick because it is so beginner friendly and practical. Try adding Practical Sigil Magick by Frater U.D.

I prefer the traditional way of charging sigils (with a bit of a twist), but the idea is that it becomes a normal part of your environment so that you don't notice it. I think that this has more to do with the 'consciously forgetting' part rather than charging.

Probably the best book I've read that bridges science and the occult (magick) is The Apophenion by Peter J. Carroll. Some of it is heavy going and a basic understanding of Quantum Physics is helpful, but it's still a great paradigm shifting book.
