If there is a Native American Education center in your area (if you live in America or Canada) you could go there and ask them questions. They should at least be able to point you in the right direction. Since Native American beliefs differ from each Nation and sometimes tribes with in that Nation. Also most Native American people have a very rich oral tradition and history rather than a written one.
