I just wanted share with people some information about a magazine called Shaman's Drum, which provides information about current shamanic practices in places like Tuuva and the Brazilian rainforest. The magazine is supposedly published four times a year, although that seems to depend on whether the publisher is off in the jungle smoking magic mushrooms. I have no connection with the magazine other than having learned a lot from it. I buy it at a news stand, but I found this address on a website that reviewed the magazine - don't know if it's current.

Oh yes, Shaman's Drum. Oh yes, Shaman's Drum! It features articles about and by the authentic artifact, the jungle or desert medicine man. Very alive, very true, very weird. Speaking of which, and since you mention it, I shall definitely spend this early morning reading Shaman's Drum instead of getting more tipsy. I will learn more from the former than from the latter; anyway I have two issues I've barely touched laying around the apartment.
