Im not quite sure where to put this and im new so i figured here seems fine. Earlier I was walking into my living room and there's a large mirror infront and when i turned around I saw a shadow running by. It looked like a person but it was shadowed and i couln't see it's features. At first I thought it was just me being paranoid but then something knocked my keys off of the table so I emmediately knew it must've been some kind of spirit. But what im not sure is How to scry for it in the mirror or come to contact with it (asking it questions), or what to do?

well i know what you mean as ive seen some of those shadows run by me or from the side of my vision so as the others said you should worry unless it writes something or whatever. so dont worry too much.

If anything its probably just a spirit wondering around. If it hasnt effected you yet , the worst thing that could happen is it might mess with your dreams a bit. I've had that one before. But dont worry too much.

If these things are not bothering you in any way, like physically, mentally or being a general nuisance, then I wouldn't worry, it is normal for awakened people to see, hear or feel things.
If you sense there is a problem try banishing. In fact, if you are intending to or already are banishing or warding or praying, then these things will probably either disappear or you will not be bothered by them.
I am not sure what your interests are but if you lean towards magick, the LBRP tidies up the place, but if you are more Christian oriented, then calling upon Mary, saying the Our Father or calling upon the Saints will help too.
For little things, you can just use your own will and intention or just tell them either to tell you what they want or ask them to leave your space.

From my experience, the less attention you pay it, the less you attract it. Also the less ways it has to access you; sometimes just seeing it gives it a way in depending on how you "see" it. If it messes with you, that's another thing.
