Empowering Art

Something I AM said in the Abramelin thread in CM got me thinking how neat it would be if paintings worked the same way...
Sigils of any kind are able to be empowered by the focus of the Magickian. That is why focusing on Goetic Sigils has gotten some in trouble. It is the same with any Sigil. Look at a Sigil as a circuit board waiting to be empowered. The way they are empowered is through the Focus of the Magickian.
Has anyone ever tried "empowering" a piece of art (for example, the Mona Lisa) and gotten results other than a moment of self-reflection or a bit of abstract knowledge?

Better yet, has anyone here ever lived a scene from a movie or a chapter from a novel? or had some sort of experience directly related to being engrossed in a work of art?

Empowering Art

.. What a subject! While I've never intentionally or consciously attempted to empower, or charge a work of art I can admit to many memorable experiences likened to that subject. I've come to realize I have a sort of hyper-sensitivity to certain things, and when it comes to the cerebral machinations of the mind when viewing something abstract, there's little conscious control I have over what happens. I could spiral into a subliminal conversation with myself about various things, later to have a profound epiphany about something sometimes unrelated. I could lapse into a triad reflection of the work involving the artist's meaning, my own interpretation, and the two conjoined. Needless to say, much of my reactive nature and responses are subconsciously spear-headed. Despite those things, I really don't view much art, namely works of word. I'm more of an artist than a viewer of other art.

One name I'd like to mention that many people are undoubtedly familiar with is the work of one Alex Grey (Think of the Lateralus album by Tool). Besides the intuitive nature of his work in terms of spirituality, it's amazing to meditate upon. It's not uncommon for me to visualize myself, and other things in the same scope his art can be viewed in. I'd recommend his book 'Sacred Mirrors' to anyone with similar interests.

" One of my paths of thought with art is that it's timeless. It's a living organism; it exists within the corners of intuitive consciousness. Creating art, viewing art, and feeling what it has to offer are one in the same. Artists are walking upon a staircase, and each step is a symbol of their art. Could this be thestairway to heaven? " --Myself, from an old interview

Empowering Art

Synchronicity always seems to incorporate some form of art. Weeks later, I'll walk down the street, catch a snippet of a conversation (or some other random object), and everything will fall together like a puzzle. The book, the posts I read, conversations with friends, fleeting thoughts, dreams, and that piece of art I lost myself in about a month ago: all of it suddenly becomes one coherent portrait. And standing at the center, as if everything else around it forms the frame, is where I find my ideas.
