hello
I am new here .I need help with a talisman of earth .I had made it using the book of
nick farrell making talisman living entities of power. It is a earth talisman with power of mercury.
now how do I charge it`
Is there some special way of charging earth talismans

There are about a zillion and one ways to charge any talisman.
Just off hand:
1) Circulate your body light and channel it into the talisman at some time appropriate to Earth and/or Mercury.
2) Take it up into some woods or mountains, strip naked, do a banishing, and invoke the spirit of the full moon above your head into it. (strangely simple, this is more of a wiccan thing i guess...but honestly i had the most powerful result of a talisman ever with this method.)
3) Masturbate on it.
4) Stare at it just before you knock yourself out somehow (I don't reccomend this method, but Chaotes seem to dig it.)
5) Smoke Salvia D. and stare at it. (My new favorite for spirit working, would probably work equally as well for talismans.)
6) Tie it to a rock (for earth) and throw it at a man running down the street (for mercury). This is absurd, of course, but would probably work, and at least gets your imagination working on the infinite possibilities of talismanic chargings (and construction for that matter.)
The key is to make a strong impression on the subconscious mind and then forget about it.

I still don't understand how you can smoke Salvia and stare at something with intent pAmphAge. Every time I have done it, I forget that I am alive and breathing, or rather, forget exactly who I am, what I am doing, and can only percieve strange things that come into view, only being able to move my body half an inch per second.

Sometimes my HGA takes control of me on Salvia and I do something unexpected, but generally we are in synch so if I have a preplanned intent, we go through it together. I dunno. I've done a lot of Salvia, and years ago I used to do a lot of LSD and magick. I've heard other people gain more control over Salvia with practice as well. I do know exactly what you are saying though, and even now...I'd say one in every 20 trips, I'll end up doing something COMPLETELY unrelated to what I intended. Salvia is always very deep and spiritual though, no matter what happens.
I do admit that I must have a CLEAR and simple goal when I do magick on Salvia. If i work with a Goetic I just press the sigil to my forehead or sqeeze it in my hand as I'm holding in the last hit, then the energy of the spirit usually irradiates from the sigil, or overcomes me directly with energies (visions, sounds, colors, smells, or just general aetheric currents.) Occasonally the spirit will have me do something like write something down (more or less taking over my body, though I could "shake" it off if I really wanted to). I'm really sure you could do it with practice.
It's by far the most effecient and intense way I've discovered of invoking/evoking spirits. I learned more about all my Goetic familiars in one month with Salvia than I did with years of scrying alone.

I don't know if a talisman would work for a specific job, although it could work well for the job hunt in general. What was the statement of intent you had on your talisman? A sigil might work for something very specific.

Why will they not work ? Under normal circumstances any magik has to work.
It is like writing a computer program even if the prg. does not do what you desire It will do some thing.
