Hello everyone.
I'm new to this forum but not to magic and psionics, in which I have a few
years on and off.
Recently I started preparing myself for chaos magic by meditating, reading
and firing off a few sigils. I have noticed something happening which have
occurred in the past but now its stronger. When trying to manifest wishes
through sigils or affirmations, I'm ending up with opposite results or sometimes
results which are unfortunate but related to the intent. Stuff is definitely happening
which is improbable and "magic looking" and with the right timing but with terrible
outcomes.
I'm trying to be careful not to think about results and maintaining a
"not obsessive/not dis-interest" stance. But the results almost resemble punishment.
What could be happening here? Is my psychic censor broken.. ? do I have an
unbalanced inner demon to angel ratio? Is it a matter of the psyche or an external
force? I don't know how to approach this. Any help, here or in private, would be appreciated.

well, it's hard to say what are you doing wrong without specifics.
but i heard some people say that in certain magickal workings things first start bad, sometimes opposite of what you want, and then become good.

Sigilization is a method to modify your own consciousness by attempting to bypass the conscious censor. Still, the deep consciousness is loaded with conflicts and so your results will not necessarily manifest like a made-to-order cake. Also, if your sigils are aimed at certain persons, you have their own will , conflicts, and momentum to smack up against, so you may get untoward results. You may need to do more meditative work on the content of consciousness. This is not an easy task or quick fix. I had been doing such work for years and years before alighting on chaos magic.
I only launched a sigil once in which the outcome had an opposite effect but in the end I considered that the process was a way for me to get resolution about an obsession and was a way to move on and redirect my energy.

Something wrong with the way you are thinking about the outcome, or the act, some sort of thing like that, once you figure out what it is, you should be fine.

I have had this happen many times. As a naturally worried and anxious person when my bi-polar/ocd kicks in, I think its a valid judgment to assume that maybe because of my constant anxiety I very well could have triggered the opposite effects. That's what happens to me when I enter a working when I am either unstable or just plain not clear-headed. For me it can be just that easy. Whether this may be the case for you I dunno, but that's my experience with this type of situation.

..So to the depths of the psyche we shall go.
The thing is that I have a bunch of theories and not a clear way of testing them.
A couple of that theories are dependent on specific paradigms like believing in
karma or in astrology and natal charts. If I decide to STRONGLY un-believe in those,
would their attributed influences go away?
I guess I'll keep meditating so insights will come that *might* help clear up inconsistencies
and unresolved conflicts.
I live surrounded by Christians and everything seems to move by Christian thought.
Certain paradigms leave deep roots within you. I'm still working on liberation.
The danger for someone like me is to become traumatized and come running back to the
familiar faith, where they may consider everything in this forum "devil worship" btw.
Thankfully I know better. It always made sense to me the chaos theory of magic and the nature
of reality and the power of belief. Still, it feels unsettling to loose the comfort and
support of a deity if you suddenly realize that said deity is all "in your head".

What to say? Magick takes the path of least resistence, when you did the casting you do did so knowing only the variables of probability that only you were aware of, those probabilitites that you mathematically and scientifically deduced as being factors of reality or the possibilty therof, you took im consideration any magick points were subtlity would have a lasting and explosive effect. Sometimes as said, and more often the things on,this,level of exsistence things will get worse before. they get better, when those things start to occur onow your spell will bring eventually bring it full circle. With all the chaos moving around you, you should be watching and believing how your work is able under those conditions is able to manifest, like all the ingredients are present on the physical plane concerning that system you are manipulating. Know that things get worse before they get better, and those manifestations that are magick looking as you see it, are results of you working, because the spellwor is setting the stage to bring about your will, the end justifies the means.

WELL. i DON'T KNOW IF IT SHALL HELP IN ANY WAY BUT i HAVE READ SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT THE BEST WAY TO EFFECT IN A DETERMINED DIRECTION IS TO ACT ON THE CONTRARY DIRECTION; STRANGE BUT TRY TO THINK ABOUT THE BALANCES; WHEN YOU PUT A WEIGHT IN ONE ARM OF THE BALANCE, YOU EFFECT THE OTHER TOO. in other words, try to become a void and you will attract everything to you. I guess this have something to do with your problem, thought to act in this negative way seems to be be more difficult; I have the same kind of trouble of getting contrary results, and had not worked myself on mine theory, but sometimes I feel so full in the direction of my wished for workings that I guess the universe gets somewise upset.
