Dreams And Their Interpretations
Original post: T_Danner
I posted this earlier, but I guess it was in the wrong forum, so Iâ??m reposting it here:
A friendâ??s girlfriend who dabbles in wiccan/new age practices directed me to this forum, saying that one of you might be able to help me with a problem. Itâ??s like this, for about the past 2 months Iâ??ve been having a vivid recurring dream. It always jolts me awake and I can almost never fall back asleep. Initially, it started off that Iâ??d have it once every week or two, but soon enough it was just about every other night. The dream really started to upset me and the lack of sleep was affecting me at school and work. I confided this all to some close personal friends, along with my thoughts about seeing a psychiatrist. This got told to my friendâ??s girlfriend, who told me that the dream has magical significance and that Iâ??ve had a â??negative energyâ?? around me for some time. Beyond that, she couldnâ??t provide me with any more insight, but did email me the addyâ??s to several magic forums saying that someone there might know what itâ??s about.
As for the dream, it goes like this. I find myself in a large clearing in a forest at dusk. At the edge of a clearing, on top of a tree is a huge owl. The owl then flies to me, circles over me a few times, and flies away. I follow the owl to the other edge of the forest, where it has landed on top of a large rock. I can see some faint carvings, like a hieroglyph, on the rock and I go closer to see what it is. Suddenly the owl opens its beak and I hear what sounds like â??Moelockâ?Â

[QUOTE=galapogos_]That would definately fit my life right now. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way for me to say what needs to be said and actually be heard. I guess I'll just have to get used to the theme of searching for things in my dreams. Thanks a lot for your interpretation

now before i go into this, i understand that some words are not tolerated but understand that some of the scenes are graphic and if anybody finds this offensive, please know that i am explaining something that has occured and i will make it to the best of my ability to be decent about it.
last night, i had a dream that i was flying on the left side of an eagle. on the eagle's head, there was this astral pentagram on the side of its face.
we were approaching this rocky cavernous land, with a red sky. it looked pretty old and ancient, i mean the feeling was that it was old and ancient.
now, when me and the eagle landed, we slid down this mountain side into this big cavern like pit.
50 feet away from me, there was this old, dead black tree.
so when i approached, there was this desk, and the eagle was perched on it.
now i'm not being nasty but there was this woman bent over, showing me her naked but and (you can imagine) what was on it.
I didn't see her face, just her but and on the otherside of this woman, and the eagle was this chalice.
now when i looked back at the eagle hoping to find an explanation, the eagle was standing on this long scroll.
i mean it went from the top of the desk, to the bottom of the floor. i tried to look at the words, but all i've seen was a bunch of letters scrunched it together: yyyywwwwxxxxxaaazzzzzyyyy-stuff like that.
i couldn't make any sense of it, then at the end of this vision,
it seemed like i was climbing up the mountainside to reach higher land, and on this jaded cliff of what i had percieved as a volcano,
there was this fat, pudgy man sitting indian-style on this capet.
he looked like a genii because he dressed like one, (in persian fashion) but instead of a swami turban, he had on a cufi, a big purple cufi.
this guys eyes were yellow, and his arms were at chest level and his fingers where locked together forming a triangle that was at one minute pointing down and the next minute, pointing outward.
i would of tried to speak to this guy, but i could tell that he was frozen in his meditation what seemed to of been for a long time, i got the impression that he was like that for eons, only to be found by me in todays spirit calander. (if yall understand that)
then the dream was cut short as i awoke from my neighbors banging on the walls.
somebody please explain what this means.
thanks.
i would of put this in the dreams interpretation thread but that already have alot of pages.

okay well i have been contemplating this dream for a few days now and i am going to take a crack at this.
they say that when you dream, all aspects that you encounter are really yourself. so assuming that it was all me facing me in this respect,
i will say that (maybe) the eagle was me, a spirit that was now free and proud to travel anyway, and the pentagram that was on his head either was saying that i am free due to my occult knowledge and whatnot or it was a pentagram of protection.
being the eagle, i was traveling besides myself to a volcanic, desolate land which could be the pit of my soul ( a hell so to speak)
and when i was at the desk it could mean the actual desk that i work and do everything on.
so the female with the stuff on her but is saying to me that this aspect of life is what i have already conquered.
an the eagle (my higher or free-self) standing on the scroll means... i still don't know what the hell that means.
but the genii on the side of the volcano sitting, frozen in it's meditation could actually be the magic or occult side or powerful side or demonic side ( i don't know but it represents some side of me) looking into one self to find a true answer to all things.
but if the dude was like that for a nameless amount of years, then that could mean that i already have been looking inside myself for along time.
i don't know, but that' s the best that i can come to.

I had a wonderful dream last night and thought I might throw it out here for any interpretations.
I dreamt I was a grade-school teacher in a small school located in a non-descript town and neighborhood in what I "knew" was Long Island. The school was in a small ranch home and consisted of about 10 students. The sudents were unusual in that there were both Human children and Animal (yes, I know Humans are animals...) children...we all seemed to understand each other with no problem and there was an enormous sense of affection and cameraderie. The dream was interesting in the sense that days seemed to pass there with lessons taught, interpersonal issues to resolve, and children to comfort, reassure, and nurture. There were other teachers (older matronly types) and we interacted in a friendly and professional way...the entire dream was permeated with a sense of purpose and caring. It was really a nice dream!
When I woke up I experienced the feeling of having put in a productive and worthwhile effort at work--really energized and enthusiastic.
Thoughts?

well to me, i think what your dream meant was that you would like to be at peace if you were somewhere teaching those who would appreciate your knowledge.

Your dream is very strong and very positive. I disagree with your friend's girlfriend. I think that you are on the contrary surrounded by a very powerful helping energy that is unlocking an old karmic key for you. Yes it is a magical dream.
The owl is the old wise aspect of yourself that is guiding you back to the hieroglyph, the code within that holds an opening for a new leap. This is what you are afraid of because it brings change. This change is contained within your vital life force (the forest) and could signify a burst of energy within a short frame of time where things will suddenly fall into place if you LET it happen and lose the cold sweat fear.
Trust the owl and try to repeat what he said to you, call or better even, chant out the name without fear, trust.
Peace,
Sud Ram

A few nights ago, I had this really realistic dream... Here's how it went. To start, I found myself next to what looked to be a house in my hometown, I was standing in the hedges, when all of a sudden, the hedges turn into some kind of transporter. Next thing I know, I'm in an unfamiliar, but warm and comfy house. A couple came out to greet me, however, there was also another person there. I did not recognize the other person... The couple spoke to the person sitting next to me saying (while holding a chart in front of them) "Let's see, in the physical realm, you have one brother..." Speaking to me they said: "hmm...It seems you are only child..." "Each of you take a good look at each other, for you will be learning together for some time." They said to us. â??You are probably wondering why you are here, correctâ?Â

well i had a strange dream a few nights ago.
well i dreamed in the third person and watched this old man in all black with a black cape on him. he was walking around on some great plain which i figured was in the U.S. and than was attacked by native americans.
than they dropped something on the ground which i got the impression of as soul gems from this game i play. than the old man's began to go to the ground as if having a heart attack and i think, not to sure, but his soul was put into the gem.
what does this mean as im truly puzzled at this.

moonshadow-my opinion as to what your dream could mean is that you secretly wish you have an mentor/instructor to tutor you or to guard you with in your magickal career/studies.
i wish i had that in my life too, b/c i am alone in everything in what i do and think.
wiseone-i have many theories as to what your dream could possibly mean but i will go w/ the simplest one.
i think you feel that your magickal power is not powerful enough to venture on something that might be far more ancient or powerful than you, and the soul in the soul gem part, means that if you went into whatever new ground or new land magick wise, than you fear that you would be defeated and taken prisoner.
-hoped i've helped

I think your dream indicates that you have reached a new level in your spiritual training. That now the real work can now begin. It hints at never forgetting the life you hold in reality that it is just as important as your spiritual work. It shows you are comfortable and excited in your new discoveries and eager to move forward. You are not alone in your quest...you have a 'partner' who will, as the dream said, act as your mirror. Overall sounds wonderful! Good luck with your learning!

I would say you are having some strong conflicts in your life right now. You are going through some important changes. What those changes are will depend a little on how you view native americans. Generally I would say that the change isn't what you expected and has caused you quite a bit of confusion. For quite a long time you felt kind of like a drifter...not quite fitting in anywhere. You stumbled upon this change during a vulnerable time in your life. You just seek understanding of why. Honestly I don't sense anything negative from this. If I were you though I would do some research into native teachings...I feel there is something there for you.

Your dream speaks about things, obiously, in your life that you can't control (as you said yourself). I think in order to know fully what the dream means you would have to know what that connection was that you had to her (romantic, past life friend, sister-like). Knowing that would give you a deeper meaning and understanding. Also I would have to know how you view Roman centries. Are they puppets of a higher strength? Were they savages who destroyed all that came in their way? Do you see them like society today? Or phantoms of the past? It's really hard to say without knowing these things.
On another note without knowing anything I would assume the dream means you lost hope somewhere down the line. A part of you that is so beautiful and innocent was destroyed brutally. You were powerless to do anything...you wanted too but didn't know how. Angry at yourself that you couldn't change it. Angry at them for doing it. It opened a part of you that most couldn't touch...a warrior in you...the one willing to stand and fight. I would say (I appologise if I'm wrong or off base here) that four years ago you were the type of person who took what others gave you. You rarely stood up for yourself...rarely grabbed what you wanted. This warrior in you allowed for you to take a stand and learn to do just that..stand for what you believe in, go for what you want regardless of others opinions or thoughts. You had one last final blow and you exploded inside. So four years ago when you had this dream a part of you awakened that allowed you to come fully into your wild self that is fearless (in a sense) and willing to take the risks necessary to succeed. Also protecting you from being a doormat.

jendayi i hope you are a woman cuz if you're a man i shake your hand e-style but if you are a woman, i would give you a big, nasty virtual kiss on your cheek.
anyway, man you're good. that is the best fu#&in interpretation i have had on this thread!
i have to admit that at one time in my life, about 10 years ago, i have found my mother murdered and to this day the authorities have not found those who are responsible for it.
ofcourse my mother being the most beautifullest thing in my life was taken away from me and i tried everything in my physical power to seek justice but i felt powerless against...
so i guess the dream was a representation of the same underlying theme that was going on with me at the time.
i say at the time is because i no longer think or feel or fear that because i have pushed many people away from me because i was afraid that again, them being a beautiful gift in my life would be uterly destroyed or taken away.
i have seen psychological help for this among other things and now, i do not try to think that way anymore.
i also live in east new york, brooklyn and here you have to have your sh#% together or dudes will take you.
so living in fear makes no sense to me, and if i fall, i fall but i will go by my rules, fighting for what i believe in.
and thank you for your advice, i will consider it very deeply.
now not to sound like an ungrateful puss but the dream i was actually refering to you to check out was the one where i was flying with an eagle; it's on the page 11 I believe and following that is my interpretation to what i think i was trying to tell myself.
now, i definately am asking you to tell me what you think because it was a very powerful dream and it would mean alot to me if you can help clear things up.
thanks.

Ah, well, I did quite a bit google searching to see if I could figure this one out, but Iâ??m still not quite sure about it.
Last night (or rather, morning/day) I had a dream I was standing in front of a cow, petting it and admiring it. The area around its neck became of particular interest to me. I stroked it a bit here as well, calming it. I leaned close to it and bit it... I wound up drinking about 3/4ths of its blood I think... I was there for a while... it was dead (or nearly) and lying on the ground by the time I was done.
As odd as it may seem, Iâ??ve been into the whole drinking blood and blood letting thing for a while, so the fact that I was drinking blood doesnâ??t concern me all that much. Iâ??m more concerned about why it was a cow that I was drinking from. I have my guesses, but I was hoping to get a second opinion here. Ty if you can help.

okay well i can't wait until jendayi explains this one, i am alittle shy at giving my opinion but here i go:
okay i think your drinking blood thing is a symbolic tool or avenue that says that you are trying to usurp the power of docility.
they say cows are humble, gracious, simple creatures that are docile. i don't know, that's what they say but anyway,
i think maybe you are hungry (so to speak) for a change or you want to tap into the simplicity of natural behaviour or something like that.
hoped i helped.

Thanks, that made me feel good. Here is the dream you originally wanted me to interpret.
First off, as before you would have to look into what an eagle means for you since it was a close companion. Now you will have to figure out what the black tree meant for you. Examine spiritual beliefs, emotions you got from the tree, and your first impression of it. I would also ask you to examine what women mean to you. Also, Iâ??m not quite sure what your spiritual background is. I donâ??t know too much about the astral pentagram so my interpretation around that is only what I picked up online for what it is used for. That goes for everything that has spiritual connotations (they would have a special meaning for you in the dreamâ?¦what they mean in real life will mirror into the dream time). This is a hard one to interpret so bare with me.
So here is how I would interpret it without the information above. You have reached great intellectual and/or spiritual heights. Pay special attention to what the eagle means to you because you are being told you contain those same qualities. (Here is a good website to check out. Just scroll down to eagles). It also indicates that you have reached a part of yourself that is very old and ancient. It took great soul searching within yourself to find this part of you. It also says you were drawn to a message. A very old knowledge is available to you (it could be knowledge of yourself or just of old). The true source of knowledge is gone but clues are left to help you. It is asking you to examine life-giving aspects. Due to the stance of the woman I would say your image of women is keeping you from understanding the gift women contain (life-giving, mothering aspect, nurturing, etc). Either that or you are trying to superficially examine those feminine qualities and therefore cannot fully grasp their true essence. The dream says this is something you must do on your own. This must be examined first before you can understand the knowledge within the scroll. I believe this is the real reason the tree brought you to it...but you need to examine your belief systems around women and their qualities before you can understand. It then shows you trying to get a better view of it all to understand. Then you found a very powerful, fearless part of yourself. Rich in knowledge and in strength but filled more with mystery to those on the outside. This part of you reaches to the core of You...your soul. It seems appearances aren't as they first appear. The man is yet another clue of the message sent to you.
This is no ordinary dream...it would be wise to look into the meaning of the images yourself because the dream itself even says you are the only one who can figure this out. A little helpful advice would be to watch taking superficial glances...it will be worth the effort. (I hope you don't take offence to that...I'm a very blunt person). Good luck!

First off I would take a look at your original intentions approaching the cow. Was it to drink its blood, to calm it, to just give affection? I would also have to know how you view the cow itself. To some the cow is embodiment of the goddess or feminine, fertility, nurishment, etc. My guess would be that it is to do with nurishment and nurturing aspect. Your intentions will give you more of an understanding of what kind of nurishment you need. And I suggest you seek it because next time the cow will be dead..lol. Seriously though you really need something in your life right now...I can't really answer what it is but look at your intentions on approaching the cow to find out. I would also ask you to take my interpretations and alter it to match your spirituality. For example are there any special meanings to cows in your religion/belief system?
Oh and I like your signature...lol.. That is so true!
Very nice interpretation endor...I never thought of it that way!

Iâ??m not sure about your second suggestion, but I know the first one isn't true... too unlike me lol.
Jendayi
Iâ??m not quite sure why I approached it... I think I simply saw it as food... a cow doesnâ??t really mean much of anything to me spiritually, but I have always seen them as a sacred animal.. Not to me particularly, just that it may possibly have that symbolism engraved in my head. To say that I think of a cow as a symbol of the goddess makes me feel as if Iâ??m lowering the goddess... soo, thatâ??s not it... I do see it in some aspects as feminine, but I think the one I had was male... may be mistaken. I know Iâ??m not giving you much to work with ... ty again
I hadnâ??t really thought of it as something I might need spiritually.
I got the M2/GP quote from the Principia Discordia and the other from the satanic bible incase you didnâ??t know

nightingale, maybe you just looked at the cow as something easy to prey on. Maybe that means that you are looking for some form of power to take in your life, but again, i could be off.
jendayi, thanks for your efforts in telling me what my dream meant.
i can admit that i did look at females in a superficial way but i also look at them as deep, mother figures, endowed with beauty, mystery and inspiration.
i think that the image of the woman means to me that if it is a situation of being with a new women, then i can get one because the image (i feel) is a subject that i had already conquered and i know what to do in getting a new girl.
i say that because i had gotten out of a long, damaging relationship a year ago and my esteem was at a low but now i see myself getting back on track with my confidence.
but thanks anyways.

T Danner-

but i havent devoted the time this that i write below is off the top of my head...
what do practise if anything regarding the occult?
the heiroglyph=communication...your guides are telling u....You are being told that shortly you will pass through a rebirth/resurrection or initiation.
Your on the edge of spiritual growth,a rebirth (new level) will be reached soon.Remain grounded in your practises.
let me know what you think.

T Danner-
i googled moloch,
owl-Moloch, the Abomination of the Children of Ammon
Molech, whose name probably derived from Melech "king" and Bosheth, "shame", was one of the deities worshipped by the idolatrous Israelites. He was referred to as "the abomination of the children of Ammon" (1 Kings 11:7) and the primary means of worshipping him appears to be child sacrifice or "to pass through the fire." Solomon was said to have built a temple to him.
I am a lot better at interpreting others dreams than my own..LOLA messenger from spirit
