Slave to your own Demon

A curious question to all Satanist & Luciferians: How many of you believe you have conquered your own personal Demons - *truthfully* Or are you just an unwitting slave to your secret Demon's desire. Could desire itself be a Demon?

Conquered... it has such a repressive connotation.

Thats all I gotta say on this one.

as far as i'm concerned it's better to work with your demons than against them.

Do you mean fetters? I still have a fair amount of those. Demons, on the other hand, I'd rather work with. I've engaged demons for help in destruction of certain fetters.

Yes, this is exactly what I have said in response to your Black Book of Satan thread. Desire IS a demon-- probably one of your 4 personal demon princes. Perhaps it is Satan himself, the Demon Prince of Water and Emotion? Desire is an emotion, yes? More likely it is a combination of all 4 demon princes: intellect, emotion, will and animal urges (air, water, fire and earth).

Makes sense to me....except that sometimes the intellect is not regarded as much as the other 3, desirably speaking.

Maybe those four demon princes are also angellic kings?

Perhaps, those four forces, like any other force is neutral in themselves. Perhaps they have no face, mask, form, but the face, mask, form we choose to percieve them as?

Like electricity they can be used to kill your neighbor, your disease, or even yourself, depending on the voltage. As well as heal your neighbor, your disease, or even yourself?

And perhaps even more, what is a demon and what is an angel, is all in the eyes of the beholder?

Go with the flow, or fight against it. It all depends upon where you want to go doesn't it?

Yep, the 4 demon princes are only negative aspects. I would guess the 4 positive aspects would be represented by Gabriel, Michael, Uriel and Raphael if you choose this paradigm. The Abramelin operation is about bringing these forces under your control rather than being at their mercy. I guess the Abramelin operation is considered Right Hand Path (not sure), but Satanism isn't necessarily about being at the "mercy of your master Satan," either. Depends on what kind of Satanist you are, I suppose.

I do not consider myself a "Satanist," so perhaps my reasoning isn't typical, but Satan is the rebel, man! Go against the grain until the end, don't go with the crowd just because they happen to be rebellious too! That's what I say, anyway. To me, being a subervient Satanist makes about as much sense as being a cliché rocker "nonconformist" that looks and acts exactly the way he's supposed to. Paradoxically, going with the flow often leads to freedom and I have learned it is in my self-interest to not act selfishly. Odd that.

Exherting your will against your personal demons = control and self-mastery. Isn't that what rebellion is all about? It's another funny paradox because Satan is the resistor and he kind of works against man if you think about him as a personal demon vying for control of your mind. So, in one way he's a role model for self-mastery as an abstract figure rebelling against God's will (self-control, self-mastery) and in another way, he's the enemy rebelling against YOU and trying to master YOU, since you are the God of your own will. Depends on how you look at it.
