Directed by Brian Flemming, who is described on the film's website as a "former fundamentalist Christian," "The Beast" promises to spread the theory he claims is "gaining credibility among scholars" â?? that Jesus was made up out of thin air...."

I am inclined to believe that Jesus of Nazareth did exist, only because lies are more believable when they are based upon truth.
The premise of the movie is interesting, though, and seeing the reaction from the Christian public should also prove to be interesting.
It seems to me that the director may have been more influenced by the popularity of "The Passion" movie and even more so by the popularity and content of the "The Da Vinci Code," which I have read is also being adapted to film, than any actual research he may or may not believe to have merit.
