We all know what it's like to be involved in endless thinking. The mind enjoys thinking as much as the eye delights in the sight of a beautiful flower.
An alternative to obsessive thinking is plain awareness of the present moment, which I find most soothing.
What are your experiences of pure consciousness?

one might argue that pure consciousness is not waking up, but examining your dream.
i'd be inclined to agree with that fellow.
still, very beautiful experience. one of the best to have.

I agree with the simplicity of this matter. I think sometimes people like us can get just a bit too carried away with 'escaping' this world that we might miss the beauty of the mundane.

Wake Up!

I have a body. I know that sounds obvious, but it really feels strange. Something I take for granted all too often. The motions, and their motives. The urges, the sensationalism. Ecstasy, pain, and varying shades of numbness. Within I exists all without I. To find Heaven and Hell I need look no further. I need look no farther, or wider, or even larger, for with the best intentions my eyes blur my vision. I am that I am, and that's all that I need. A moment lived to feel.

The darker and, in my opinion real side. Nothing metaphysical about it.
After all, there is nothing like a trail of blood to find your way back home.
