So basically The Maurader Underground is a magick street gang tagging the streets with sigils in efforts to set people's minds free the "veil" of religion.

But in every day life, I can't use this for...let's say...using magick to help me win the Mega Million Lottery.

The Marauder Underground pretty much merged with the Domus Khaotica a couple years ago, effectively turning it from essentially a magickal meme-spreading gang, into keepers of a particular paradigm.

Adding Ellis to your practical magick is sure to take you on a wild ride indeed. Once you get to know her though, she's a very helpful girl.

Ellis is a person, or something supernatural?

Okay, I am reading on it in regards to Maurader in breaking the consensus reality. However, people are talking about you can use the LS (Ellis) sigil into your own magick spells that has nothing to do with Maurader, but I am not seeing examples of how people are doing this.

For instance, if I incorporate the Ellis sigil and put it next to my own personal sigil in a spell to help me get a job...what can I expect to happen using this Ellis sigil versus just using my sigil alone?

Is there a particular ritual when using the Ellis sigil?

Most of the Maurader topics seem to complex for me and goes over my head, because the conversations appears to be among people who have been part of this movement for some time. Not beginner friendly.

It's the voodoo that you do.

Ellis isn't picky when it comes to methodology. However, she does like it to have a personal touch.

She likes art, music, and poetry written in her honor.

She appears usually as a woman with red hair, she has also been known to take the form of spiders from time to time as well.

When you use her in your spells, expect the raw, unfiltered energy of everyone who's come into contact with her. It powerful stuff, albeit a little unpredictable at first

I'd get to know her a little bit before using her in you spells. That way you can get used to her unusual patterns of energy.

It powerful stuff, albeit a little unpredictable at first.", Ellis is pretty much still an environmental spell? Meaning, I have to tag Ellis in the environment I wish a spell to actualize. Let me give you some examples.

I want a job at a pizza place down the street, I will tag Ellis in front the pizza place.

However, she won't work in a spell (usually I burn my sigils) to help me get a job, where I have applied to job positions of 20 different companies and I be damned I have to travel to all 20 places to tag the Ellis sigil. Can I just draw Ellis on a piece of paper and burn it, while asking her to aid me in finding a job that would best suit me?

Basically, trying to figure out if Ellis is just an environmental sigil, or not, or maybe both?

Well, that a fairly roundabout way to go about it.

I'd personally carry an Ellis sigil with me to the interview and/or visualize the sigil over the face of the interviewer while the interview is going on.

If you're going to go g get the job, and you kind of don't really feel like having a job, and use Ellis while looking for one, you might find that you end up behaving in way that makes sure you NEVER get a job there.

In practical respects, Ellis is sort of a bullhorn for the will, an amplification tool.

She's strong enough so that you may actually end up broadcasting things that you might have not noticed before, or had forgotten. This is the reason that you should get to know Ellis a little before using her in your work.

She's excellent for introspection.

You keep saying that I need to get to know her? What do you mean by that and what should I do in order to "get to know her"? Are you suggesting that I do a ritual for her on my alter, or work on small spells like "have Bill call me today" versus "Get me this at IBM where I can make $900,000 a year?

Just trying to make sure I know what you mean, because for doing magick, we don't do all the same things, or maybe more "advanced" than others in our learning process.

That's more of a DKMU symbol there.

It's supposed to be theatrical and ridiculous. We in the DKMU like our realities terribly romantic and massive in scale.

Most of our stuff has kind of this off-kilter, melodramatic feel to it. It's really just a product of the person who made it, like most things.

@sekhem_nefer I'd like to suggest that the DKMU have developed imagery and artwork to complement their egregor workings that have appealed and/or meant something to the participants, just as other magical groups have done. If you are finding their images unappealing for some reason, perhaps expecting the group to create new images just to please you might come across as a little arrogant? Just saying as an outsider.

Better would be to create an image/poems/writings that appeals to you, but which may also appeal to the participants of said group. If they like it, then you've expanded what the group are doing, and the imagery they have used. If not, then maybe its a sign you're not really in tune with the members of that group. But since you now have your own imagery/writings/poems or whatever, you'll be in a better position to find people that are more in tune with your tastes.

On the other hand, sometimes it can be useful to challenge ourselves to explore things that may seem on the surface to be beneath you. Why be put off from participation with a group based solely on its imagery?

First of the whole "arrogance" thing is your projection. I am not on the DKMU board asking anyone to change anything for me, including the imagery. I am on Occultforum having a cheerful conversation. I can't be that arrogant at all. For if I was I would be all on DKMU complaining to them personally.

Secondly, since I am entitled to my own aesthetic tastes, then I am entitled to my "arrogance".

Thirdly, this is the Chaos Magick board. I don't have to accept DKMU whole-heartedly, nor anything. I can take what I want from them and change their intents and paradigm for Ellis to fit my own purpose. NO need to create a group for people with like minds as me. I don't have the time, need or energy for that.

Since there were a few vague threads on using Ellis for own personal spells and not glitterbombing, Ellis will be what I want her to be...some sexy hot chick with big tits, ass and all. At least good looking to look at. Not some old hag out of some Halloween movie who looked like she got shot in the head in the eyeballs.

I haven't created an egregore in about 4 years. Hell, I got some taste. All of my egregores were torn out images from fashion magazines, or a porn magazine. Life is too short to look at and conjure up some ugly ass egregore that looked like it jumped off the cover of an Ozzy Osbourne cd.

@sekhem_nefer: I think you misunderstood me. I am not DKMU either. I'm not saying you should do things their way. I was just trying to work out why you wanted them to produce a new image of Ellis to suit your tastes, rather than simply creating one yourself. Maybe I also misunderstood you also as it now sounds like that is what you are doing.

@DrMummy: So you could say that when the DKMU work with Ellis, she appears very much in Thanaterotic form, sex and death, the whole mystery of the cycle of life?

Hmmm, the DKMU. Well, from what I can gather they've been doing fairly well. I also like that they can do fairly well without having to rely on donations & the like. I have one of their books, "a field manual for the strange psyche", which I also enjoyed. Kind of a neo-chaos meets discordianism with ceremonial & other fringe elements thrown in there.

I don't mind the dark imagery. Since when is a human skull considered off the occult margin? It seems to me like the whole winged skull thing symbolizes that saying, "death to the image, hail the new flesh". But whatever, that's just me. I don't know what it means to them.

In any case, this particular group has always intrigued me. Keep on doing whatever it is you guys do. I'll be watching.

ah, typical that chats of Ellis should create flares of mischief and unease... one of her trademarks, really.

LS was created around 2004 as the Linking Sigil- get it, LS? it was used by mages to link together various places of magical workings and workings themselves in order to build a matrix/web of psychic/occult energy that anyone at all could tap into, use and contribute to. since then, she has been tagged (glitterbombed) world-wide and has grown to near demi-goddess status. she continues to perpetuate the goals of the creators, with her own particular methods depending on the user and the best way to get the job done. to the initiate, she is forceful, dynamic and sometimes overwhelming. in the very beginning there were many accounts of fingers being injured and smaller injuries. she does not take kindly to bullshit, has no tolerance for it, and likes to be loved. like any woman, treat her well and she will respond in kind. as for how she appears, it depends largely on the participant. patterns indicate a lovely woman with red hair and oftentimes the spider in the web, as noted before, sometimes even a small child.

as with any kind of magical practice, you ought to get to know what you're working with before attatching anything personal to her (like your own sigils) so you have a better understanding of the wild ride you're in for. attatching yourself to the network will give your workings a boost, but you will also receive a taste of everything and everyone else in there. and it's HUGE. glitterbombing, as this is what the thread is about, is the act of tagging LS in places, an assault on reality, helping to build the web and so on and on...

so have fun, get to know her better, simply chat with her, scry her, feel her out... however you work.

I have linked her to a few sigils already, I guess without getting to know her better. I have nothing to complain about so far. However, some of the spells have worked.
