News from the trenches: The Darkwolf Update.

Okay, as some of our forum regulars have quite rightly pointed out, the main difficulty is that nobody is posting. So here's a post from me for you all to mull over and discuss. News from the trenches, and my own take on things.

Right now, I'm seeing a rise in all sorts of activity. I haven't heard anything new regarding new-ish talents (such as electrokinesis, or mechanokinesis... both to do with manipulating machinery or computers of some sort), but I have been noticing some changes in spirit behaviour. For example, take Shades. Now nearly all of you have encountered Shades of one sort or another at some point, but their behaviour has changed in some very interesting ways since the events of 2-4 years ago (remember, epileptic memory, so fine details on dates are going to be lost)

Before the aforementioned "event" (mass Shade attacks worldwide), Shades were considered by most who saw them (as opposed to actually interact with them) as unintelligent. While this was not so, they seemed content to merely stand there and look frightening in most cases (part of their natural feeding pattern, btw). During the event, obviously, they went a bit ape. But now, after the event, reports have been reaching me from various sources that they have begun actually comforting people and offering advice, especially of an occult nature. While not threatening, it certainly is an interesting developement, and I've wondered if anyone else has noticed this.

Spirit attacks in general seem to be on the rise, as does levels of precognitive talents either coming into their own or becoming (relatively) public. Possession, however, *seems* to be lower. Only seems to, I don't generally deal in those areas (generally) and wouldn't actually mind being corrected there (I'd gripe, but I wouldn't mind. It'd give me something to do...)

Pembrokeshire, as usual, is pretty darn quiet. This I currently consider to be a good sign. Also noted is agitation of some sort among intelligent spirits, although I have not been able to ascertain why this is so widespread.

Any commentary or discussion on this report is welcomed, and anyone adding their report would also be welcomed. Building up a comprehensive picture of what appears to be going on may well be helpful, considering that some occultists I have talked to have also confessed being a tad uneasy, and I myself am not exactly de-stressed.

Reporting from Glasgow: a malaise of apathy,though settled for some time,appears to be lifting and clearing sou' westerly.Currents of anticipation,with some remnants of residual underlying fear, remain for the moment,but should lift in low lying areas for weeks to come.The outlook is hopeful.[Jupiter/Chiron -Jupiter/Neptune aspects]

Lucid dreams and an interconnectedness in themes and characters,have been a feature in friends/family and aquaintances in my locality also,for quite some time.Reports are of intensity in colour and depth beyond their own 'normal perception'.Peripheral vision is enhanced.[ Above mentioned planet aspects and Pluto retrograde].Once again,the outloook is hopeful.

Overall:The outlook is hopeful.

Science stuff: Auroras rising and sunspots increasing; the outlook is hopeful.


Shades and I hacve always muddled along together nicely and I value the companionship,but they have been more err...'3d' ish though recently? Oh And an increase in spontaneous phasing,personally...time appears to speed up and slow down,intermitttently and not always convieniently....

OK I'm ignorant....what exactly is a 'shade'? Do you mean the shadowy figures that can be seen fleetingly from time to time?

Activity wise on the occult front:

For me there is lots of OB activity and lucid moments of'knowing' certain things. Demon wise there is more lucid contact.
Around me people seem to be asking questions about the bigger picture. I work with the so called insane and they are rather quieter than normal with there usual astral invasions of energies and entities being very calm.

Shades, or Shadow people, are indeed generally seen only fleetingly, but this is changing. Indeed, Nahemah, they are beginning to look more solid these days, which is another odd sign. Lots of events with people's perceptions enhancing, time flowing. And indeed, lots of people trying to put together the bigger picture, which is what this thread is all about... helping people understand the bigger picture.

There are indeed, which is a perfect segue for my next update! Okay, won't talk much about the stuff that has personally happened, because, quite frankly, I'm still ultra-enraged about it (and this morning's posts show this by an increase in general rantiness), but I will update on the latest trawl among the occult community.

The biggest news I seem to have noticed is a lot of posts over the last week, all over the interwubs, of various precognitives of varying levels of ability, all talking of an overwhelming sense of "something big" over the horizon. This has been going on for some time, albeit at a much lower level, but a lot of people are now saying how it's crowding out all their other visions (which, considering the number of things they *could* be seeing, like natural disasters, etc, is significant, I feel), and I also support this view. Shades, there are indeed interesting times ahead. THOG, your post is particularly interesting, any updates on that?

Yep, it's time for another Update from the trenches! Thankfully, only one event of *note*, which was the physical attack of Shadow People upon a couple in Fritch, TX, happily sorted now... but psychics, mystics, weird new spirits and the like continue to come out of the woodwork, and things get more and more interesting, curiouser and curiouser, and the s*** continues to deepen around our necks.

The latest piece of "fauna" that I've found reported have been odd, short, pudgy little white creatures, humanoid, but with unfinished features, as if made out of white Fimo or something. Not physical so far, but we continue to watch.

I dont feel like typing out all the stuff that's been happening around here, i might do it at some later date, but i wanted to show my support for this topic. I really think this is a great idea, sharing magical news from around the world. "Big Mages" tend to get lost in books and affairs that are centuries old and not pay attention to what's happening around them right now.

I'm reconnecting to the occult community, been doing a lot of magick, getting my skills back in shape- seemingly greater than I've been in the past. Perhaps more a sign of the magic environment than personal skill?

Not really noticed any entities of late, except for some weird keening noise near the ocean- not sure if it was natural or supernatural, though I had a run of fear in me. Will continue to delve into local area to see if there is anything interesting or out of the ordinary.

Big Grain of Salt: Everybody has heard the 2012 thing, in one form or another, so increased reports may be less relevant than believed. Still, I remember encountering a 'shade' that had gotten particularly out of control and dealing with it. I know others have encountered them over time- there have been more positive contacts lately? Good to know.

Know what you mean about the 2012 thing... wanna know where the whole bloody silly rumour comes from? "The Mayan Mystery", by Maurice M Cotterell... he said the Mayan calendar "ended" on the aforementioned date, and did not research further to find that the Mayan calendar is a *cyclic* calendar... also forgot to note that it's not the end of the world, but the end of an *age*, which is *much* more plausible, don't you think?

Anyway, it's good to see some support for this topic, and I shall keep everyone updated with news as I get hold of it!

After the site hack, there seems to have been an assumption from most people that the site was gone for good, so people have mostly stayed on new forums. We are getting a lot of new people, though; Earthsong Forums finally went feet first not long ago, but even after that debacle, Feranaja/Serafina was still getting newbies. Most of the core crew from that site have either disappeared, or migrated to my own new forum; http://www.mirshalak.net/forum/ for anyone who's interested. No, I'm not trying to steal anyone from here; just open another browser tab and keep this place up. Hell, I do. :p

Qryz's Occult Corpus is still going strong, and Sacred Magick (http://www.sacred-magick.org/) is showing a bit more activity than usual as well, at the moment; that is traditionally a very quiet board, however.

In terms of new weird stuff, as I wrote in the mythology subforum, the Black Eyed Kids seem to be the newest meme to come down the pipe. Anyone here have anything on those? Jason Offutt's blog seems to be a good thing to keep an eye on for recent material about such issues:- http://from-the-shadows.blogspot.com/.

Then there was that whole recent shitfight with the Voodoo practitioners and Christian missionaries after the Haiti quake; threads on both Sacred Magick and OccultCorpus about that one, for any interested.

That's pretty much all I've got, at the moment. My part of the world is quiet, at least my town. Melbourne (my nearest capital) is going crazy in terms of mundane violence these days, and the emotional background count seems to be getting worse, as well; I don't know whether that is cause or effect with the violence issue, though.

HA! Yes, i was so happy when i heared about that. I did not believe anyone could be stupid enough to deliberately offend the Loa so much. I can not wait to see the response to that one. In my humble opinion that will be the magical and religious even of the century. I literally can not even imagine how gruesome the Loa's reponse will be.
