Hinduism does not say Sex is wrong. Quite the opposite as the Ascetic God Shiva had a Family with Paravati or Durga depending on who you ask. In fact the Bhavaira Tantra was written or expressed while Shiva and Paravati were in Sexual Union I believe in which 108 techniques of meditation were revealed. Sex is not considered wrong.

Being celibate however is celebrated though because Ascetics must transcend their primal urges and focus only on God. It is considered the most potent spiritual practice by many as Semen is said to contain the most Prana in the Body. By retaining this one gains the energy otherwise expelled during sex.

Hinduism is not inconsistent in my opinion. It is stated that being celibate is for the few who are intense spiritual seekers. Only unwed sexual intercourse is really frowned upon. Sexuality is celebrated if you examine mythology. It is only in Yogic Sadhana I believe that the topic of not engaging in sex becomes an issue.

Indeed the Lingam itself is intensely sexual in it's iconography. The Linga is a Phallus and the base is a Yoni demonstrating that Male and Female are one and thus comprise the Universe in seeming Duality while being Singular in Nature and always connected.

Such is my opinion however and I personally try to follow a celibate lifestyle and it is indeed a hard road which only those of great spiritual devotion may succeed at and I have much trouble but I have faith that I may one day succeed in my goal.

Me : Yes. But astral sex is refined & sublime and not gaudy & gross as on the earth.
Some astral beings desire physical sex and such ones incarnate on the earth for the fulfilment of their desires.

I believe that the flesh (whether it be human or other) is the supreme expresion of the will of y/our god/s.

Animal/human sex is as equally divine as when the great cunt of the cosmos came all over the great big nothingness of god-no-god and made the universes we live in today.

It is all well and good to position ones self as a teacher, but for students to learn from you; you must have truly "experienced the lessons"!!!

I learnt from the following 3 sources :-

(1) Satguru which means holy teacher or true master,
(2) Satsangha which means holy company or true congregation and
(3) Sat-nama which means holy name or true mantra.

One has to see one's chakras or subtle psychic centres in the spinal column. There are 7 of them. Starting from bottom, they are :-

(1) mooladhar or basal chakra for ego,
(2) swadhishthan or sex chakra for sex,
(3) manipur or solar chakra for power,
(4) anahata or heart chakra for love,
(5) vishuddhi or throat centre for expression,
(6) ajna or brow cente for intuition & intelligence and
(7) sahasrar or crown centre for consciousness.

Chakras or centres should be kept normal and balanced. When sex chakra is overactivated, person becomes a pervert and when it is underactivated, person becomes impotent.
Also congestions in the chakras have to be removed by cleansing regularly.

Technically the Shashara isn't a Chakra at all but the Seat of Counciousness. It is where Shiva and Parvati reside after she rises as the Kundalini and unites with Shiva in the 3rd Eye which is his Seat.

Of course there are countless chakra some texts numbering between 32,000 and 72,000 yet the Shashara in my opinion is the Seat of Counciousness in the Cave of Brahman or the Pineal Gland in the middle of the head.

If we meditate on the top 5 chakras; namely solar plexus, heart centre, throat centre, brow centre and crown centre, then the bottom 2 chakras representing ego & sex automatically get sublimated meaning that their energies get transformed/translated/converted into the higher energies. Equivalent colours of the chakras from the top downwards are violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red.

In some religions..abstinence is considered necesssary to correctly channel your energies in the right direction....as a way to touch and know the divine. This is done both in Christian religions as well as in other paths.

Tantra & Osho teach to sublimate the sex in stages.

Well, it means basically transforming core sexual energy into another channel of creativity. This does not mean that the intensity of the energy should be downgraded, but rather the intensity of the feeling become part of the creativity. Those who are awakening to kundalini are encouraged to channel this intensity of feeling into the kundalini process.

This generally doesn't come without much meditation, commitment and practice. To me, it's kind of like reprogramming yourself. JMO

I do not agree. I find it very unlikely that in the myriad of galaxies which has millions of planets that there should not be another planet like Earth who not only support life but also have intelligent life. Not that I do not appreciate the Earth, I do, allot. However if one look at numbers alone there are probably millions of planets with intelligent life out there. I do not think that we are that unique.

Because I am same as durki that was at OF, I have to reply it. You should go through Gaia hypothesis. Then in India, it is called Bhoodevi in sanskrit. Earth is considered in its personified form as Mother Goddess.

I have noticed that age of a person has got to do a lot with his/her sexual tendencies. After 60, sex drops off considerably. Then again if a person lives alone, he/she becomes a victim of deviant sexual mind.

I was getting erratic sexual thoughts. I lit a candle and concentrated on its flame. Sexual energy moved upwards.
