Best place to do Magick?

I am new to this and considering two possible rooms in my house for doing Magick. One is my basement office where all my books, computer & etc are located. This is rather spartan, concrete floor, cinder block walls & all my familiar junk & etc.

The other possible location is in our attic. Reached by stairs, partially floored, largely open space. Was formerly used for storage but most things have been moved to the basement and the attic is largely vacant.

Based on that information, does anyone believe working Magick will be substantially better or worse in either location? The basement is climate controlled and the attic is not.

Personally I would have taken the attic. Less clutter means less clutter in the Energy and also more room to move around and altar and place in according to desired directions. However either place would be fine. My working space is definitely very cluttered. Also is it very warm or cold where you live, if the climate control is needed for you to be comfortable then I would take the basement. Generally it do not matter that much I think where you do magick, if you just select a place which seams most comfortable and appropriate to you and stick with it then Energies will build there.

Thanks for your input. My real concern was not about clutter vs. space. It was whether working essentially underground in the basement might attract lower energy, or keep me from sending out good energy. It may not be as cold as norway here but we did get 8 inches of snow last Sunday (which is unusual for Greenville, South Carolina.) If you look anything like your avatar on this page, you are the hottest witch in the cold north. (I am old enough to be your daddy and half way around the world; I can get by with a little harmless flirting.)

i bieleve being poor malnutrition no compant no freedom in my case being in a truman show tweakers always being followed while satelites gaze through my window. i like my computer very entertaining ive built up towers very high war zones any answer i need is there in seconds guaranteed so much whilst the pain lingers revenge sparks anilation becomes concern mis justice used for bargaing chips.

to believe me but rest assured it exist in the future of mankind these things are built on rules but also have human RIGHTS attached to them due to suffering for a cause justifable one that is. almost any human with a good structure good cause could be very high god head but the true type recognized even by gov.

i say all this because you wish to live in a cave attic basement your words have rythem

Wow Jack, if only that had anything to do with the world outside your head. You remind me of someone else who's incoherant rambolings I've had the displeasure of reading.

Back to the topic at hand. You should be able to channel the energies you're looking for in either place, though your personal perception might come into play if you're particularly sold on the "underground="lower" energies, above ground="Higher"" concept. I would personaly go for the attic as it seems like the more secure area (guests are less likley to go into an attic, especialy if you tell them it's storage).

What really matters is that you make the space that you choose yours and yours alone. If you set up for magic in the basement, it will be easy to disregard that space as sacred when you may be using it for other things..but upstairs in the attic, if you hardly ever go up there, and you set the whole place up for the purpose of magic, it could be easier to ascend into that space with single-mindedness, where that space is set aside for a singular purpose. You'll have less interruption from things like a computer or people who may visit you in your space because they know where you are at.

hi venus rest assured varities of things lets get down to basics everyday stuff paper clips pennies small radio mirror go to the dollar store buy statues of eagles dancing toys for humor trinquets magical things arent really needed but for marma to be of few things everything to be recycled because of responsibility when buying it.

I think this depends totally on the person. You can use either, it's just a personal preference.
