Emotion

Post by Barrackubus »

In an interview with a chaos magician, which I saw broadcast on you tube, phil hine talked about emotion, we know emotion as fuel, honestly knowing how our, emotion, will, belief and all that we are are able to change the current of a reality that we view as subjective. Suppose, someone has or does emotionally hurt you, you know hurt your love, break you? How would you or did you handle it what where the, results of your magick if used. How did you measure them, did they help strengthen you belief in future workings afterwards?

My experience has been that the "fine line" or "razor's edge" magicians talk about often has to do with emotion. If emotion is too tightly controlled, repression has an adverse effect on the magical result; if emotion is allowed to run rampant, there is no effect, or an opposite one than what is desired.

So it seems that emotion is best channeled--that means letting the emotion rise up as it normally would, but then directing it in such a way as to get a desirable effect. For example, say that you have become enraged with a a coworker and wish to teach him a lesson; to lash out in blind rage might be, ah.... overkill, let's say. You don't want him DEAD, right? You just want for him to be sorry, or inconvenienced, or humiliated! Therefore your rage must be directed along a particular path--not repressed, and not allowed to flare up wildly.

Suppose someone has emotionally hurt me...? I need more motivation to ritualize or spell-cast than emotional pain; emotional pain is more useful in acquisition of musical skill as a blues guitarist.

I hope this was helpful.

Maybe I didnt post my original discussion question clearly, what I am looking for based on emotion and the human experience. Have you ever used magick that eventually harmed someone? someone who needed corrective action with the use of magick, some one who maybe backed you into a corner and karma and your manipulation reality caused things to happen adversly to another. What im looking for sharing of moments of magical mayhem brought on by other chaotes.

When I was younger, an individual decided to strike me twice in the face while I was at a local carnival. This was one of the more popular amongst school, one of the star wrestlers if I'm not mistaken...a real douche whom believed himself above most everyone who deviated from his own narrow minded sense of importance. Be that as it may, I had warned him to get out of my face or I would kill him...and ensured him that I wasn't metaphorically speaking. That's when he decided to strike me twice, directly in the mouth...and as I stood there, practically unphased, a smirk crept across my lips...which then lead into some rather amused laughter.

I still remember the thoughts flooding my mind, an overwhelming sense of rage and arrogance. In my perception, this individual was worthless beyond measure...a lowly piece of dirt that dared lay a hand upon my flesh...and now he had to die. The combination of utter rage and sheer amusement had me laughing, uncontrollably, as I partially turned with a clutched first in order to gear up and punch him with all the emotion behind the flesh... As I turned back, which took but two seconds if that, he was gone...those around saying they've never before seen another run so fast in their lives. He decided to go about expressing that he kicked my ass to everyone...only to have countless laughing at him and saying they seen what happened...that he hit me twice in the face and, not only didn't I budge from my standing location, but I began laughing. Several months later, he hung himself due to depression...be it by that reason or a combined state of multiple stressful factors in his pathetic life. While I heavily contribute his death to my outlash of emotion that night...it could have simply been a very delicious coincidence.

However, it's not the first time I've projected mental instability in another...
