I'm feeling a strong grip on my heart pulling me to join the fraternity, and at the same time a fear of whats to come. I've recently read the Mastery of Life and the Wikipedia article about Aleister Crowley. I'm not keen on mysticism since I've never studied before, but it seems to me that he was studying similar practices taught by the Rosicrucian. I hope no one takes offense to the statement just made. It was just a personal perception, and I'm hoping to be straightened out about the views that I have.
There's a lot of posts and talk of there being two Rosicrucian Orders, the Rosae Croix and the AMORC. I hear most people referring to the AMORC as false Rosae Croix. I'm trying to join the Order that allows me to unlock the inner me. I was contemplating joining the Freemasons, but being from Arkansas, the Lodges here are segregated, or at least to my knowledge they are. That and I find myself connecting with the beliefs of the Rosicrucian far more than I did with the Masons. And I'm also having trouble finding a Rosicrucian Lodge in Arkansas. Does anyone know of one?
I don't believe in Religion. I believe in The Creator, but I feel that Religion is justification for human actions and beliefs. More wars and crimes are committed in the name of, and against religious leaders and religious ideal than for any other reason.
I search for inner peace, alignment with my Creator, and atonement for the action of myself and my worldly brothers and sisters. Our crimes against one another, though they are done in the name of religion, can not be blamed on religion. We tarnish the names of our ancestors when we actions in the name of their beliefs.
But enough of my ranting. I'm seeking to become a student of the Rosicrucian, but I just the questions stated above answered before I can continue on my path.
Thank you for your time,
May the Rose blossom upon your Cross.

If you want the long version of the story, then by all means, join whatever order you wish.
If you want the short version of the story, then understand that there is no real order except the Ancient Alliance of the Elect.
Masons, Rosae Croix, and AMORC, and any other XYZ are all useless and meaningless. The only thing that matters is the initiate. And you can't get to be an initiate by any outer rite of passage. You have to actually be the real thing. And it's all up to you to find the 'real thing'. Just one clue, when you have found the real thing and become that thing, outer orders become meaningless. You will no longer require their petty, low child's play fit only for fools and old women. When and if you become an Initiate of Magick, you will not even any longer have any lust for Magick, or its supposed 'Orders'. Consider the lilies of the field..

Are you speaking of LHP? I've heard a little bit about it, and if that's what you're referring to then I'll pass. No offense, I just can't bring myself to go against my Creator.
But if your not talking about black magick then I would enjoy a little more enlightenment please.

I've actually come to a conclusion as to what I will do.
I have come to realize that it doesn't matter whether the Rosicrucian that I wish to follow is from ancient mystics or not. I am drawn to the Rosicrucian Order because of their beliefs and views.

Once you get in an order, the first thing they'll do will be to make sure that their beliefs will come your beliefs, their views your views, their limitations your limitations.LongTimePast wrote:I've actually come to a conclusion as to what I will do.

Of course you will learn some things which might benefit you, but ultimately is only up to you. Plus you can learn much more by enjoying what you do rather than being told what you do and how to do.
There are certain basics which have to be learned, no doubt, but since every person has a different way of expressing himself, then staying in an order for more than just learning the basics would mean to deny yourself and let others guide your life.
Better as Bruce Lee said: "Using no way as way & Having no limitation as limitation"
As well: "Man is constantly growing. And when he is bound by a set pattern of ideas or Way of doing things, that’s when he stops growing."
