Servitor to Help a Third Party
Servitor to Help a Third Party
Hi All
I would welcome views and advice about creating a servitor to help a specific person.
A friend of mine is being disempowered by the unreasonable behaviour of a neighbour in a flat above her and is at the end of her tether having tried the official/legal route.
Whilst I regard doing some working to influence the guy (an attractive proposition nontheless!) as the Dark Side, I would like to do something to empower her to deal with the situation provided I have her permission.

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
I'm going to leave this here,as it applies here as well as Chaos Magick.
Usually duplicates get deleted,as it spams up the forum but this is an intriguing question and I think it has mileage here too. [thumbup]
But...please, don't post multiples of the same topic again, unless it's another one like this,of course, lol.

Dark side, smark side.I am not a good person, but I am a decent one.Defense is not dark,if it's justified.Whilst I regard doing some working to influence the guy (an attractive proposition nontheless!) as the Dark Side, I would like to do something to empower her to deal with the situation provided I have her permission.

Influence away.It can be positive,if you don't want to get heavy handed....More from me later, tho' ,as I 'm sure our members wil lhave lots of helpful advice on this one.
Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
There are a number of ways. It would be easier to answer this if you could add some details? Do you use more "mind magick" or ritual? What is and how good is your power source? Do you want to create it from your own energies, environmental, etc? How do you want it to report back to you on progress (if you do)? Does it need to be strong enough to affect physical form?
Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
Something that springs to mind is "high-powered bitch lawyer", think judge Judy on supernatural crack.
Empower the servitor to have those qualities:
Intimate understanding of the law
Impeccable sense of morality
Take-no-s%#* attitude
Inflexible air of authority
Just a 3am thought

Hi Vashta
Thanks for a most useful suggestion!
It might be helpful if I fill in some background so my question is set in some context.
I have worked in what I would term main stream magic for over 15 years and during this time have applied the techniques purely to my own development. From time to time I have used Chaos Magic ie sigil and servitor work but yet again this has been to achieve something affecting only me - with the possible exception of the troll guardian who patrols my allotment to ward off vandals/thieves!
I guess the basis of my question was the cross over to doing something to help a friend. I suppose I am like a plumber who has all kind of tools and expertise but can't decide which to use in the situation I face.
So I suppose the starting point is general principles. Here we have a friend in crisis - disempowered by a 8%$£** of a neighbour - so I suppose I am inviting members of the forum to suggest a tool and technique.
Incidentally, I tentatively mentioned to her yesterday I wanted to help her and hinted at where I was coming from. She is eager to try this new avenue in general terms.
Hope this is helpful!

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
Thank you, dedevoce
Please can I refer you to the parallel thread (yep, I blotted my copybook with my first postings on the forum - is this a record?) in the Chaos Magick section.
I am drawn to use Chaos Magic techniques to solve this problem but am uncertain as to what course to take. Once that is established we can get stuck into some juicy discussion on the details.
Incidentally, I am told it is possible the guy causing the trouble is a drug dealer and if this is the case no doubt he has a few nasty entities around him already!

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
I help a friend who has many issues. I have set up various layers of shielding as a simple base and a couple of servitors to finish it off without being intrusive.
I don't know if that helps you in the slightest?

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
Erm, how to explain this..
I don't really use ceremonies, rituals, etc. So the layers of shielding start off with the basic framework for predominantly fire and earth. Built up with more solid ideas and feelings, closer to granite I suppose - those igneous and metamorphic rocks which are very hard, usually quite smooth and formed from heat and pressure. Then the servitors are like gatekeepers. They give my friend a calm, relaxed feeling to help him cope with the stress etc while giving a very prickly, harsh, hot feeling to those who try to get too close. They can get more aggressive if required.
Some of the inner shields have also had sigils added to them purely to extra oomph and to cover all bases really.

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
Thanks once again, Shenfyre
Your approach has certainly given me plenty to think about. I too love working with elemental forces.
The guy in question is a tosser rather than someone who is deliberately targetting my friend. He's got a fault with the plumbing in his flat that occasionally results in a flood down in my friend's apartment. She and her partner have spent £xxK in repairs yet this guy won't let the plumbers in.. what's he got to hide I wonder? Strange people ring her bell at all hours when they are really after him.
So my initial take was to boost her to cope with the situation and to enable her to work effectively with the red tape strangled system to sort things out. Maybe help her to create her own sigil to empower her. Maybe a servitor to protect her?
I sense she is already boosted by the fact that I have offered her help. She tells me she has just read "The Secret" which maybe has primed her to this kind of stuff.
I want to help but I want to get it right!
Thanks

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
From that - I think I'd set it up so that she feels happier, calmer, relaxed and more positive within her home. That will allow her to cope with the stress better. Then you can use a servitor and maybe an outer layer of shielding just to niggle at the back of the guy's mind. A constant nag to do something. That way it's not too aggressive but you're being active on both ends, if that makes sense.

Sounds like we are on the same wavelength! Involving her in a sigil process to improve her lot will be empowering in itself!
Thanks so much for your suggestions. I will keep you posted as to progress!

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
Hi All
Things are progressing quite nicely but I have another question.
I have got this lady to create a statement which will become a sigil which will empower her to deal with this guy. I have no doubt that this process in itself as she identifies the qualities she needs will have a very positive effect in itself!
I've been mulling over how to tackle the subject with her of charging the sigil. It's a bit delicate, especially as I prefer the orgasm method (who wouldn't).
However, looking at some of the threads on the forum I note that some folk advocate magicians swapping sigils...
On that basis, could I ask her to construct her sigil and then I take it away to charge it?
From a practical point of view this feels the right way to proceed especially as discussion of how she might charge her sigil might be a bridge too far!
What does the team think?
regards
Albion

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
I don't see any reason why you couldn't charge the sigil for her - I've done sigil swaps and things with friends.
Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
I really fail to see why people, especially otherwise rational thinking chaos mages, are clinging so fiercely to outdated, outmoded moral restrictions in this day and age. This individual is not only disrespecting your friend, but making his chosen way of life a nuisance to them, and affecting their quality of life. Through blatant action, this person has caused damage and monetary loss, and violated the security, peace, sanctity and tranquility of your friend's home. Forget pussy foot methods, and worrying about the outcomes to this inconsiderate piece of crap, go after him, step this up. Sure, set up wards to filter the negativity from your friend, help them construct a peaceful, soothing environment to live in, but be proactive.
I would consider mirror work, to directly visit the energies and effects that this neighbor is putting out back upon them self, perhaps even amplified, since at this point it has been ongoing and they have shown no intent to care. I would also consider setting up a sigil, servitor, or other environmental influence to make the neighbor uncomfortable and want to leave, perhaps something stimulating nightmares, or attracting spirits to be active in their apartment. Also a working to attract additional attention by the authorities to the illicit activities going on there would certainly put pressure on this transgressor.

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
This is really good stuff!
I have to admit my first impulse when I got involved with this was to zap the bastard!
When I began casting around for ideas on how to help a mate of mine who is a practitioner of shamanic healing etc was suggesting some energy work on her to bolster her up. Whilst I respect his point of view I began leaning towards what we are exploring now.
Yet I took a shamanic journey to consult my guides and one clear message was "Beware of unintended consequences!"
I am taking a progressive approach on this as I explained before:-
1. Work on her
2. Create a protective barrier
3. Create a servitor to influence the guy ....and yes, getting him to move away etc a goer!
I really appreciate everybody's input. Keep it coming!

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
*Shakes head sadly* Is this what the chaos magic current has fallen to? Reactionary, cautionary, sit back and don't step on toes? Sad, sad, sad, and sad. Exert your will, create the reality you see in your mind's eye. You yourself said your inclination was to "zap the guy", so stop holding back and be active. Or at the least, if you are going to take the white light approach, don't call it chaos magic.
Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
Perhaps this is just where I hate mornings but - Who exactly are you to dictate another's moral code and what is and is not chaos magick?
The OP here asked for help in creating a servitor, methods, ideas and suggestions to help them within the parameters they set. We have done that.

Re: Servitor to Help a Third Party
Moral codes are the product of socio-religious paradigms, and as such, have no real place in chaos magic. Also, as I stated, chaos magic is about doing and getting results, not half assing and waiting for something to happen on it's own. As for who I am to know this, I am the guy who has been involved in chaos magic since 1995, and has seen the sad, slow decline of chaos magic in general to mainstream fluff. It's sad, so few people want to push edges and envelopes any more. Having achieved goals set 30 years ago as impossible, so many are ready to sit on their duffs, and feel accomplished, and worse are the ones who discovered the current after this happened. Set new horizons, keep pushing the limits, question everything, and try anything.
Then again, for that matter, why do you question my right to question? Question everything.
Also, I just scanned back through the thread, and the OP did not set parameters, but left it open to any and all suggestions of routes to take. It was the advice given by others in this thread that led the OP to believe a shield and wait, reactive approach is the best way to go. He asked for a tool, I say will, and the direct, ACTIVE assertion of it, working to alter the problem directly, not just buffering the effects and hoping it goes away. I say that is the heart and purpose of the chaos magical approach, and that sitting back, shielding and hoping it fixes itself is a fluffy, new age, afraid of power and responsibility approach.
