But it's artificially induced and thus can be problematic.

Well, it depends, partially, on how you define love. Most people think of love as a phenomenon that occurs in a romantic context, an emotion beyond description and infinitely valuable. This Hollywood version of love is probably something you can induce in another person, but the effect is unlikely to be permanent, as the emotion/sensation itself is rarely permanent when it comes about naturally.

Now if you define love as the conscious choice to care for someone and their needs in an unconditional manner, then you could probably not create such a thing with magic unless you are extremely adept at mind control.

If you desire to cause or sustain this short term, passionate, emotional love, then voodoo/hoodoo (I'm not actually sure what the difference is, I'm sorry!) would probably be a good place to start because one or both of those have lots of spells with good track records for inducing that kind of chemical/emotional euphoria and infatuation.
