Emails notification

I sometimes receive emails notifications about new posts being added to the topics i replied to, but when i go to visit the topics, there's no new post.
Anyone else experience this?

Yes, I've been getting some of those too. I think it's spammers posting to those threads, and then the admins deleting their posts before getting there to check, but I'm not 100% sure..

Ah yes,that would explain it.I 've been getting them too,but didn't connect it with the deletions.Duh.

I 've been checking in several times a day to catch spam,there is a lot of it about,unfortunately.

yes, that was my reasonable explanation too, though i'm thinking that the deletion is automated, based on some filters;
i doubt that anyone will stay 24/7 to check for spams and then react so fast to spam.
