completely blocked from spiritual world
How do I unblock myself or open myself back up to spiritual side again?

This is what works for me. Find a quiet place with a running water fountain. Sit and listen to the sound of the water. Try to to listen to it as if you are listening to a song, looking for repetitive melodies. The sounds of the water will elude you from identifying any repetitive sound patterns. Use full intention to listening to the water, as if it was a fleeting dream quickly to be forever forgotten. This should lead to a complete loss of awareness in regards to time. In other words an hour can seem like it was only 10 or 15 minutes. When away from the fountain, try recreate the sounds of the fountain in your mind. This is the lazy person's method to meditation.

That's very similar to what I do.I go to the local park,a river runs through it and I sit by the river,under the trees.I have often passed hours without realising too,lol.It makes me feel at peace with myself and all that matters is being,in the moment.

I dont feel spiritual anything when meditating, it is relaxing experiencing nothing or letting my mind run wild, but the problem comes from not feeling anything spiritual from meditation or anything

Sitting meditation is the easiest way to enter a state of full awareness, but if you are advanced enough anything you do is also meditation, conversations with people, problem solving,Thinking with awareness of what is being thought, feeling sadness and crying, any moment or state, has the potential to become meditation. Meditation also conserves a person's mental vitality, so that he/she can feel spiritual later.

Weezy,perhaps you are reading too much into other folks experiences.Relaxation is what I get when I sit by the river,no background hum ,no chatter in my head.I call it 'unthink' and it works for me.It is blissful,but I take in the surroundings and I am at one with them.For me that IS spiritual.
I don't engage in any formaL meditative practices and my mind meanders where it wants to,when I allow it to and for me that is the key and the target.Unwinding the tension and the everyday and just going into and with the flow of simply being here,in the now.
Relax.That is plenty good enough.

thx, my goal in meditation was always to empty my mind to form a relaxed mind and have actually had sorta contact with an unexplained feelings. Doing the exact opposite should actually be a great idea since my like inst so totally chaotic anymore.
How can one be protected to negative emotions and malicious thoughts and images (mind's eye not actual images)
How can one not become completely drained and fall asleep(might not be bad but I cant be sleeping all the time and dont want to be conditioned to sleep when meditating)
