Gods appear in dreams?

Post by Mrdark69 »

Interesting, I once encountered a large blue scaled wolf goddess, Like she was half dragon, half wolf. And on another note, whose to say new gods aren't brought about, In my dreams I seem to be pretty close to their level, And some act as thou I'm one of them. Not saying i am, but what if all we have to do is just be as strong as one? Really Ive no clue, But the ideal is there.

Gods appear in dreams?

Interesting, I"ve never encountered that kind of goddess. I sold almost all my Egyptian statues to a Egyptian temple except Sekhmet and Isis. Yesterday Isis once again demanded that I honor her because I was going off and honoring the Celtic and Norse deities. I didn't listen to her and I had this strange dream that she caused a whole temple side to come down on me. Strange! So when I woke up I put her on my altar and I've had sweet dreams.

Gods appear in dreams?

yes.

this may be a way we can choose our magickal path.

for example if chaos is not effective for us, the effective path for us might be communicated in dreams.

A deity or being may appear, committing a specific action, in a dream, indicating that evocation is the right way for us.

This deity will have heard our call and opened a channel for us.

There is a lot of skepticism, or perhaps jealousy, in the magickal community about such things.

I have read of way to verify whether a being is genuine in traditional western magick, by projecting the pentagram when you see them.

I can check my files if anyone is interested.

Gods come in dreams often. The best is meditation about a god or godees in bedtime. It was common in old Egypt and Greece.
See you Greece and Egyptian magician papyri, or Theurgy by Iamblichus.

I believe that various gods (and entities) can appear in dreams. I think it's more of a representation of the god (or a small portion of the god) and not the full embodiment of the god.

I have personally experienced dreams with various entities, including one god, so I'm a tad biased. The dreams were important and contained information that I could use/I needed to know.

I would say that there is a difference between a dream of a god or goddess and a vision given to you by the same whilst asleep. The first is your own mind processing something in the vein of the supernatural whilst the second is a vision given to you by an external force. Therefore, to be completely on subject, and dream of a god or goddess isnt so much a divine visitation so much as it is your own self thinking things through in the way that you believe the divine forces would. In order for a god to actually appear to you while youre asleep you would have to be visited in a sleep state, in which case you wouldnt be dreaming so much as just viewing the exchange whilst asleep, if that makes sense.

when i was young id dream of the Egyptian gods alot. but i was told it was "wrong" to believe in them, and i met my deity through dreams. long after i was told it was "wrong" but they can show themselves in dreams sometimes if they decide to.

Gods can appear in many different ways but the most effective and simple one is through dreams. I have had massages of gods through dreams several times those massages can sometimes be from other spiritual forces such as spirit guide, ghosts etc.

I was meditating a couple weeks ago and for the first time in a while I was tired enough to be lapsing into hypnogogia and pre-dream type states in the process.

I actually had a brief sequence of being on a plane looking out the window and the White Isis looking in at me while guiding it by the wing. It was a bit like early morning above the clouds where the white is radiant to the point of being blinding, her raiments and personal warmth/love were in unison a bit like that and the adorableness of her energy was turned up high enough to be utterly sublime.

I don't know if the energy I felt was literally hers or my subjectification of it - I felt that energy intensely off and on last year at several other times and its become quite distinct for me.
You don't have to do a thing perfect, just relentlessly.
